What do you mean employers laugh at Metro on resumes? and..uh...lemme see .... If I'm undecided I should go to SEMO and spend at least $200 per class hour being taught by an assistant while I figure out what I want to do when I grow up? Guess that makes sense...in some universe.

When I went on interviews and they saw Metro on it, I was told it's not a real college. And you CNT transfer credits either.

Did you return to the school and present your problem? If not, why not? Maybe you didn't present yourself professionally ...

Since we live in a world where everyone gets a HS diploma whether they earn it or not, and they hand out college admissions like candy, associate's degrees don't mean squat. Go big or go home.

it has more to do with the person's interview the you realize. most interviews are bad these days for several reasons:
1. poor appearance - hip hugger jeans are NOT appropriate attire in an interview. T-shirts with some saying, ball caps, just ratty appearance in general is a no as well. seen alot of people go to interviews with torn jeans, dirty, tattooed up, bolts hanging from various parts of their face, all applying for a job dealing with the public! uh, no, you wont get a job for that. go dig a ditch if thats how you choose to dress and look.
2. Grammar and speech are big ones. As seen in a few posts above, this is a shortcut, text message type ruled world we are in now but its still wrong. quoted from above "Dnt waste time. I went and graduated. They were supposed to help place ppl in jobs--- ppl I graduated with r not finding work and they dnt help. Waste of money..... Go to vocational school or Three Rivers" I hope the application had better spelling. when you are so lazy you cant add an "A" and "E" to the word "ARE" thats a clue as to how hard you will work.
3. Credit report - employers check your report these days. if you have bad credit it says that you cant manage your money. If you cant manage your money and pay your own bills how can you be trusted to take care of your employers needs?
just my .02 cents worth

I will say Metro helped me find a field I was able to do for less than Semo could offer. I bet half of you have never even been to metro. The credits DO transfer just to let you know. Unless you are for massage than no they will not.

Metro is small the class sizes are too. Thats bc they want to help you go farther in life. I am not a "stupid ho" nor am I retarded, I went to Metro and will return. In my opinion ASHLEY if you want something that is from 8-3 4 days a week and you are able to actually learn something take the chance and go to Metro!
