For anyone looking to reopen the old Ricochet location at 3853 Cleveland Avenue Site B, just north of Edison Mall, it is still up for lease. It is being leased by Commercial Property Specialists incorporated of Southwest Florida.

Was NOT!!! In fact, the Ricochet was a slow dancer's paradise! I was there on a Friday night once before and the place was playing slow songs, 2 at a time, every 30 minutes! And I mean, Real slow songs! 80s and 90s style! Slow songs that have similar rhythms to, for example;

Simply Red's "If you don't know me by now"

R Kelly's "Dedicated (To my favorite girl)"

Jodeci's "U&I"

Boyz II Men's "On Bended knee"

and Celine Dion's "Because you loved me".

That is the exact type of smooth jazz the Ricochet was playing, 2 songs back to back, every 30 minutes! And in fact, because of that, I was looking forward to going there again, and perhaps even having a few slow dances with some nice ladies. And not just white ladies only, but also a few African Americans, Asians, Hispanics, Mongolians, Brazillians, Cubans, Mexicans, and whatever other races/nationalities that Southwest Florida has to offer.

Whoever disagrees with my above post must really hate slow dancing and must really hate seeing anyone embracing and swaying to slow music, and only likes listening to today's junk! If that is your attitude, do us a favor and go back to Chicago!

It has been nearly 3 years now since the Ricochet closed and went up for lease.

I would highly recommend calling them at the height of a workday (between, say, 11 am and 2 pm local time) and keep calling, preferrably every 30-50 minutes, until someone picks up. Normal workdays are usually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Calling them on either Saturday or Sunday is totally not recommended at all.

Here is another great hit from the 90s that I am sure a lot of people probably miss; Silk's "Girl U For Me".

Who would want to open a business in that dumpy location? Centered right in the middle of Homelessville and Brown Town.

It's in a dingey, run-down plaza and right next to the 'blacks only' KMart. Wow! What a prime real estate spot!

No wonder it's still empty.

With some renovations it could be really good spot. The thing I would do is not have hip hop music or rap. That music inspires violence. I'm white and proud of it? What is wrong with white people nowadays playing that crap. K-Rock used to have slogan "Rap is Crap"

Daily Horoscope for June 20

Taurus

Don't believe everything you hear because someone is talking through their hat. They may have got the wrong end of the stick, even if they won't admit it. Alternatively, they might be trying to deceive you in some way, in which case they most certainly won't want to own up. So trust your instincts and listen out for any remarks that set your alarm bells ringing.
