Cape CRA to Look Into Rules Governing Signs in Medians
CAPE CORAL, Fla. (Aug. 15, 2008) -- According to WINK-TV News, Cape Coral Community Redevelopment Agency Interim Director John Jacobson said the group is forming a committee to look into relaxing rules that govern the placement of signs in the downtown area's medians.
Some business owners had placed signs near their Del Prado Boulevard-based businesses to try to attract customers, but code enforcement personnel removed them.
At issue is whether the signs are helpful during a limp economy, or whether they are just clutter.
According to the WINK News report, Jacobson said "...we don't want to enact a rule because 7 people want it, we want to enact a rule because everybody wants it."
