I am in no way an activist. I have thought PETA to be downright crazy at many moments. HOWEVER this disgusts me to no end. I think the investigator who did this is very brave by putting their own credibility on the line to send a message of the neglect and downright abuse of these animals. I am sickened by it. There are many reasons large companies have promoted humane treatment of animals in the past two decades; mainly because SCIENCE lacks emotional consideration when it comes to any other species than human! I suppose if we were all born with out emotions then the country you live in would never have evolved to using diplomacy as a way to conduct our government. I also had higher hopes for the U of U until now. The school that I generally support here in my community has left a bad mark for me. What is more is reading how emotional we really all are when reading these posts! Love PETA Hate PETA. Science doesn't allow for that so think before you react about how you "feel" about anything!

This is absolutely sickening and outrageous. I don't care what "guidelines" animal labs say they follow, testing on animals is wrong and should be stopped. Animals are no less living beings than we are, and it's sick how we use and abuse them to benefit us. There are so many natural products we can use that don't test on animals. So why do we continue? Maybe because nobody wants to be the guinea pig, so these animals are forced to be.

1 I mean, a Mormon would never consider such a thing. It goes against the principals of the church. Wow. I would have never thought any Mormons could be involved. Wow. I'm blown away. How could Mormons do this? Those poor animals. At the hands of those mean and evil Mormons! |
||||
Wow, you really are a dipchit. So tell me what the hell do mormons have to do with it? We're talking about the UofU, not BYU. I don't care for the religion myself, but the issue here is animal abuse, not religion. If you only have something stupid to say, don't say it at all. |

Mormon students attend U of U. Just because it's Brigham Young University does not mean that every Mormon college student goes to it. |
||||
So? Not everyone who lives in Utah or goes to the U is Mormon. People classify too much. We need to keep the topic on the issue at hand. Animal testing and abuse is wrong, it doesn't matter who is doing it. Duh. |
