Comal County Facing Lawsuit for Wrongful Death of Teenager

Comal County is being sued for wrongful death. That lawsuit was filed in the 433rd District Court by Dennis Davis, the father of 18-year old Rebecca Davis, who died in a traffic accident in October of 2008.

Yes, it is tragic what happened to this young lady but she did, in fact, make the wrong decision by illegally passing the car. We live and die by the choices we make and its a shame that she died as a result of such a poor choice.
As a parent Mr. Davis, you should be ashamed of yourself for doing this. This is no way to honor the memory of your daughter. You should be celebrating the time that you did have together instead of bringing her poor decsion and your obvious lack of accountability out into the public forum of the judicial system. If you haven't already been subject to ridicule, you should be, and rightfully so. That sir, is a shame. This is a time when we should be grieving right along with you for the loss of such a precious gift as a daughter, not lamenting on a ridiculous lawuit that is obviously without merit.
Same for the lawyer who took the case - obviously an ambulance chaser looking for the deep pockets. Why not sue the other motorist for failing to yield in a no passing zone? That would be ridiculous right? Yeah well so is this!
