George Strait - the Legend

George Harvey Strait was born May 18, 1952. He grew up in Pearsall, Texas, which is south of San Antonio.

STRAIT is no legend of mine he is too much into himself let alone set up a sholorship for some young person to continue their education.besides the fact that i do not care to listen to his music i wonder if he has 2 masters.

He has never denied being from Pearsall and still has family there. He donates to a lot of charities and doesn't need to advertise it for the world to know, you'll be surprised how much time and money he gives, but refuses to be recognized for it. He is not out there for the glory he gives from the heart just like he sings from the heart. If you don't care for his music, don't listen, but don't hate either. Life is too short to worry about how much money he has or gives away.

Why should he give to the schools if the schools are owned by the State? Maybe for the City of Pearsall would be different...
Maybe George does not publicize Pearsall to protect his families privacy. Many, many legends and stars do that..I would if I were George.

All I know is that he was in Pearsall while attending Pearsall Junior High. I know this because his dad was my science teacher.
