To Whom It May Concern,

With all due respect, let me make this real clear... We are not and have never been associated or affiliated with CCL. My wife and I purchased CCL amongst two other companies as of December 31st, 2007. We both have excellent ratings and an unblemished 34 year old history of working with the public. We please ask that you do not associate our perfect reputation with any companies that we have purchased and especially with Sunrise Lights/Lighting which we have NOT purchased and would NEVER associate ourselves with them based on our research. We apologize if you had any bad experience with any of the companies we acquired or with Sunrise but how can we be blamed for that experience? Give us a chance to service you and prove that we are as untarnished as our 34 year history has shown. In fact, to further prove that we pride ourselves on excellence to our valued clients, we are willing to extend an open offer to any past clients of any of the companies we acquired a full store credit for any losses they may have incurred BEFORE we purchased the company they dealt with. This alone should solidify to anyone that my wife's and my mission is to continue our perfect 34 year old streak of working with the public. We believe its a sad thing that places like sunrise lighting need to throw stones at reputable companies to differ the attention from themselves. We are affiliated with old and reputable companies such as the American Lighting Association, Dun and Bradstreet, the IDA etc. Our Parent company Piana Designs has a AA rating with the BBB, yet sunrise seems to have an F rating with the BBB. I wonder if this is why Sunrise is so upset with the world and continues to blame complaints on rivals. I highly suggest Mr. Hanna that you stop this false campaign of blaming others for the horrible way you do business. We can prove OUR history. I am a father of 3 girls and my wife and I run our business the legal, proper and faithful way. We have never had ANY problems with our past employers before I started my own business. In fact Mr. Hanna worked for CCL and stole information to start Sunrise Lighting 3 years ago. Mr. Hanna has a history of doing this to a previous employer " golden ribbon/computers in Canoga Park". Where he falsified his commission to steal money from them. You may want to google "Hany Michael Hanna Lighting" ( which is Micheal Hanna's real name) and you will be very shocked at what you read. We have un covered more on Hany Hanna/AKA Michael Hanna but will reserve this for later. If Mr. Hanna continues this slander we will be left no choice but to relentlessly defend ourselves in addition to going on the offense to protect my family and our good business name. We thank you for your time in reading this. For further details please click this link: http://www.affordablequalitylighting.com/docs ...

I highly recommend Affordable Quality Lighting. They are a new company and are definitely on top of things! I just purchased and received the next day my recessed lighting. Very high quality product, excellent to deal with over the phone, and super fast delivery! I will definitely recommend AQL to my neighbors and everyone I run into!

Most of these posts here are made by the owner of the company. As a matter of fact, the owner just opened a new site at:
http://www.consumerlightingreports.org/
All they do is bash thier competitors and their advertising practices are very questionable.
Funny how this new site claims they do not accept advertisters yet affordable is up on the top of every category. Hmm, I wonder where they money is coming from on this $200/day advertising campaign on Google adwords.
Affordable now is on ripoffreport.com themselves:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/296/Rip...

I am sure that the above person is another lighting dealer that did NOT make the consumer lighting reports list, or did his company make the bad list?

Why did the above person go through the cost and trouble of BLOCKING his location??

The consumer lighting reports site helped me make the right decision. In fact I did NOT buy from Affordable quality lighting when I saw them on Consumer Lighting Reports.org , as they did not have what I wanted, instead I bought from Westside, another dealer that ALSO had great reviews on that site.

I did find Consumer Lighting Reports through Google. Consumer Reports also does not accept advertisers, yet they also advertise on google.

Ever hear of donations to support public awareness sites??

And by the way Einstein: Affordable Quality is on top of the list based on alphabetical order..and this is clearly noted how they sorted the list on their site...did you miss that?

You see mr. lighting dealer with a bad record, this site helped me make the right decision.

And it seems to me there are many OTHER sites on Consumer Lighting Reports that have great reviews and not only Affordable Quality Lighting.

So big baby, grow up. The consumers can read between the lines. Did the site hurt your company so bad? Were you exposed by consumer lighting reports?

Why dont you clean up your business?...huh??

Oh one more thing. The BBB is the ONLY legitimate forum that allows the company to defend themselves and does not post any complaint blind...like this forum here and rip-off report. In other word folks, anyone (especially competitors) and pissed off clients that want a ONE SIDED complaint can go to this site (Topix) and ripoff and post what ever in anonymous form. You cant do this with the BBB as they allow the company to defend themselves and tell their side. They also tell the company all of that persons info, so competitors are eliminated. And they also send the person filing a compliant a letter or email And if they don't reply than its obvious it was false.
Bottom Line: Check with the BBB before you buy.

Ok Mr Grow up. Look at all the rip off reports on your company now.

Oh, by the way, we know that you are the same group of people who were running contractors choice lighting. All you did was change your name because of all your own real bad BBB reports.

I am a licensed C10 Electrical Contractor. As you can imagine I have purchased Lighting Materials from several supply houses nationwide. Affordable Quality Lighting in Canoga Park, California is hands down the best! That's all I am a busy man.

Although the company we bought ( www.CCL-Light.com ) doesn't have the best reputation and had changed names several times we should not be associated with them. We bought Contractors Choice Lighting and only changed the name to Affordable Quality Lighting because we are different owners.
We do not conduct business in the same way and are doing our best to clean it up (if you give us a chance).
God Bless.

Dear Public,

I am the REAL Tom Piana.

I want to make it clear that the above posting is NOT from me. I will remind this person that identity theft is a crime. I do NOT understand the purpose of the above false posting. After 35 years of being in business I am still rather surprised as to the thinking of my "competitors".

I have never changed any company name. We did purchase CCL-Light and it seems that they had MANY more satisfied clients, than dissatisfied clients. The numbers do not lie:(180 dissatisfied clients out of 788,432 satisfied clients)! And as a reminder they were in business for 17 years BEFORE we acquired them. And we all know it's quite hard to please everyone:.

When we acquired them in 2007, we made a standing offer to help all 180 of THEIR dissatisfied clients...which we did not have to do legally, since they were NOT our clients... but morally we felt we should! Those that took us up on our offer will attest to that. Of course the 788,432 satisfied clients were happy that we continued to take care of them.

Either way OUR BBB record (SINCE 1974) for MY company(affordable quality lighting) will speak for itself.

Lastly: I have never had the pleasure of visiting Tampa, Florida. However I plan on a visit there one day with my family. I hear it's beautiful and has the nicest people.

I bought pond/spa floods from the original company before the current owner purchased it.. And then again from this owner. So far I have had no problems. I am hoping all the bad references are from competitors. I purchased at least 8 sets from both and am about to purchase more.
I think their prices are very good and so is the product baby light..lara kits.
I believe that these little lights are safe, since they are being used in water fountains etc.

This company is wonderful. all the negative comments must be just people who are their competitors..they have a good rating with the better business beau..and I have been ordering for years. great product great service.

I ordered two lighting fixtures listed as "in stock" for a landscaping project, and could not believe it when 10 days later, they had not yet even been shipped! I had to cancel the order and the company charges a 15% "restocking fee" for this, which I find ridiculous, given the amount of time it takes them to "process" an order! I'm sure their products are fine, but to be competitive, they really need to speed up this whole process.

These guys claim to but so great !
But they still lie . They have a bunch of fake badges and claim to be in business 34 years its bulls**t
They were not in the lighting industry at all until 2008
And they are now price gouging the only items they have in stock.
I buy from www.socalighting.com they have the same stuff but great prices.

I like Affordable Quality Lighting! I'm writing this letter to defend a great company I've used for 2 years and never have I not been 110% satisfied. I've been telling customers and General Contractors about AQL for a Year now. I have bought there copper Landscape lights, LED puck lights, and some other lights, and they do offer Quality and have I think the best prices. They even give you extra bulbs with the Landscape Lights and they don't even have to and don't charge for them, them just include them in the box. That I won't forget. I don't know why there's some Weirdo on the Internet saying that AQL is not good, but don't believe that till you hear someone besides "Jimmy" say bad stuff about AQL. That "Jimmy" that says bad stuff about Aql seems desperate for people to listen, and that tells me that he's a mess! I'm an owner of a small Family owned and operated Residential Electrical Company in North Georgia, I know that AQL has great Quality Lights at Really Low prices.
