why do I need to go to canton?

All I ever hear from my step mom is, Man ! I wish I lived as close to çanton as you do so I could go to the first mondays.
All it seems to me to be is a big flea market that you have to walk and walk and walk all day in the heat.
Dont get me wrong I like flea markets and antique shops but what makes canton to special
that I want to spend my 3.80 gallon gas for to go an hour and be in a traffic jam once I get there.
Maybe someone can give some insider pointers like what time to arrive or where to park, what to do or see thats better that other stuff.
and must do's or never do's.

Well if you have never been to Canton , Texas you have missed out on a shopping place like no other.We always stay on the Mountain because there is always something going on and fun it is. Live music untill 11:00 at night with singing all over the Mountain see the web www.cantonmountain.com and there is a train also that takes you up the mountain and you can walk down at your own pace. Canton is a great town. Low, low tax rate.

BUT it's a real bummer when you want to go down the road a couple of blocks on First Monday Weekend and it takes you 30 min.

Those of us who live here stay in the house that weekend.
