How awful to lose one's life to such a stupid act. I hope that this serves as a reminder of how dangerous it is to operate a care while under the influence. Also, stupid stunts like this should be condemned.

im friends with the driver, and this is horrible. he wasnt drunk. and theyre twisting everything around and making it look like it was his fault. the boy jumped on his car while he was leaving his house. and now both of their lives are ruined.

wow could you guys be less assholes and a little bit more sensitive?.. I'm friends with both parties and those that are also know Alex wouldn't want "the driver" to go to jail as they were having fun yes a stupid idea which resulted in a terrible matter but the point is it wasn't intentional and "the driver" already has to deal with the death of one of his best friends and everyone making it out to be his fault let alone putting him in jail. Come on now.. My prayers and condolences go out to both families.. may alex's soul RIP...

I agree with you. But you know, as well as I do, that condemming stupid stunts like this, won't put an end to people doing them.

This just shows shows once again how important it is to always wear your seat belt. If he had been wearing one, this terrible tragady would'nt have happened.

Did you read the article? How exactly is he going to wear his seatbelt on the hood of the truck?

You are correct for sure!!! I, being a geezer, grew up in the nifty fifties. Some of the crap we did with cars should have killed us many times over. I was just lucky.

I don't condone this kind of thing for sure but I understand it. Kids think they are going to live forever.

It's always a shame when a young person is killed. Condolences to his family

Feel bad for the family but let this be a lesson to young people who think they are invincible.

The kid that was driving is responsible for that car. He should have stopped when the other kid jumped on. No matter what way you slice and dice it, the driver is partially to blame. This is truly a sad. I have kids of my own and couldn't imagine losing on of them, no matter what age.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe the drive DID stop and that's how the kid lost his balance and fell off the car?

Let the police finish their investigation before condeming anyone.

Sorry, I never did anything this stupid. And at 19 what was he doing drunk? Who supplied him with the alcohol?
