County is accused of being anti-gay

I can assure you it had nothing to do with the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender group. St. Lawrence County was accused Monday night of homophobia for removing a poster advertising the Out at the Movies film festival. via Watertown Daily Times

Did anyone here even look at the poster in question? It does contain movie titles with sexual references and themes. It does not belong where minors can see it. Does any advertisement promoting sexual gratification and raw sexual expression belong in a government building? I don't think so.

Being a bit off center myself, I gladly support diversity and tolerance. Most people don't care what goes on behind anyones closed doors but do consider public displays of sexual gratification and raw sexual expression to be not acceptable.

It is just bad manners for anyone to display raw sexual expression and gratification in public be you hetero, homo or anywhere else on the rainbow.

Get your rainbow sashes ready to go because the Pope has mentioned homosexuality in a negative way again. Be ready to go to Catholic Churches, receive Communion while wearing rainbow sashes, and be sure to tell the Priest that Jesus tasted like he was having a bad hair day.

Picket, and protest any Entity that is homophobic.

Make sure any so-called lawmakers who are homophobic apologize or resign. Call them, email them, and picket them.

Take your rights because under the Constitution. You have rights that the homophobic is trying to prevent you from having.
Don't tolerate it.

Always stay with in the law, and do things in a non-violent way but be firm.

No law says you can't receive communion at a Catholic Church so go and receive it regardless of what Religion or non-Religion you are. LMAOROFF

However in the world today, the powers that be have discovered that it is very easy to ignore non-violent protesters. Look how all the anti Iraq war marches and demonstrations were duly ignored. Sometimes we have to fight a little harder, bleed the belly of the beast, to really get their attention. They have to know that they can no longer just sweep us under that rainbow rug.

A few well thrown molotovs go a long way.

Ask Fred Phelps of Wesboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas if the new ways of gays doing things in the 21st century is putting more pressure than the ways in which you talk about of the 20th century. LOL

I know the ways of this century well, and how to do them legally, and peacefully. It is called bankrupting every bigot, and every bigoted entity. It is really that simple.

Put them out of business because some people only understand the mighty dollar that is not so mighty anymore because of right wing fanatics.

There are times for picketing, and protesting as distracting forces while real work is being done in other areas that I obviously can’t post on but work is being done and progress is being made. Civil Rights will be ours with in four years.

Yes, I see your point. You are absolutely right. Hit them in the purse strings where it really hurts.

Sometimes I just get so pissed off, that urge to do something terrible begins to creep up the spine. It's sometimes easy to become despondent and feel we have no recourse. But you are right, we'll get there.

Threatening the good people of St. Lawrence County yet I never see one of you have an issue with the daily arrests of hetrosexual men raping and molesting babies and released on bail to do it some more before court. EVERYDAY there are at least 3 men having sex with children in the local paper ..yet this film night is what bends you out of shape?
