This will not be the integrated manufacture of TV's that most people think of when reading the article. It will be more like final assembly of Chinese parts into TVs. My guess is they are able to circumvent some import tariffs this way and thus it becomes viable to hire more expensive labor for this final phase of manufacture. They also benefit from the made in America label even though the American content is trifling. Still, better than nothing.

Better keep the box its worth more than the tvs are
