Unique Medical Problem, Any Dermatologists?

I am a 53 year old man, living near downtown Colorado Springs. I retired several years ago after my wife and 21 year old son were killed in a car accident. I was in shock and grief stricken and had a breakdown. I was given antidepressants and other drugs by doctors who were trying to get me well so I could return to work. I ended up getting the wrong meds and had a grand mal seizure and permanent damage causes me to take anti-seizure meds for the rest of my life.

Anyways, I went through years of grief counseling but you never really recover from a loss like losing a wife and son at the same time. It's really traumatic and you never see life the same way. I never went back to work and because of the epileptic seizures I went on SSDI. My wife and I always talked about retiring to some exotic beautiful place, so I relocated to Costa Rica. For almost two years I lived in a paradise in the rain forest near all the wonderful wildlife and even lived in view of a active volcano.

But one morning I woke up from bed feeling the sensation of bugs crawling on me so I jumped out of bed and didn't see anything but was itching so I took a hot shower with lots of soap but the itching continued. I saw my Costa Rica doctor and he said I had a simple case of Scabies, that it was no big deal, just use the oral and topical meds for three weeks and follow his instructions and I would be good as new. Well my condition became much worse and my doctor sent me to a specialist who also diagnosed me as having Scabies. He increased the dose of the oral med and guaranteed I be cured within days. Well my condition got worse and I had swelling in my eyes, skin eruptions all over my body so I panicked and returned to the U.S. to seek more advanced, more knowledgable medical care. For almost two years I have seen two dozen doctors and I am still not cured. I've been lost in the medical community not finding a doctor who takes a interest in my case. I've spend $11,000 on doctors , prescriptions and remedies of all kinds. Nothing has cured me. I am in desperate need of a board certified dermatologist who will take a biopsy and pursue an aggressive treatment regime. The problem is that I've spent my savings on all the previous do nothing doctors so I do not have health insurance. I can re-enroll in Medicare but most doctors do not accept Medicare patients because ObamaCare is paying less to the doctors. Anyways, these rain forest skin mites are now causing internal problems that need urgent care. Does anyone know of a dermatologist in Colorado Springs who accepts low income, non-insured patients on a sliding pay scale or pro bono given this is a rather unique case? My health is in a terrible state, I need a dermatologist as soon as possible. Thank you.

P.S. The local clinics like Peak Vista do not have dermatologists. And I have called around and they want $375 per office visit. There is no way I can pay that when my sole income is Social Security. I need help.

I am not here to seek money donations. I am here to seek a dermatologist who will take a special interest in my case and cut me a deal. I am miserable living with these parasites and now I am having heart palpitations, stomach and intestine problems. The local hospital ER's have turned me away. Citing my case is beyond their scope of care. What to do?

I would try one of these mange treatments, but only under medical supervision. Mange is the term for scabies in nonhumans. Did you ever recieve Ivermectin?

Did all of them plus many others. They didn't help, most of all they didn't cure. You must understand that it's not about what's going on above the skin surface, it's about what's going on under your skin. That is why the first thing they do is a biopsy.

Somebody removed the two posts I left. One was a link to Colorado Springs area dermatologists that accept Medicare and the other was the Wikipedia mange article. I am hoping you got the link to the doctors.

just Google the following:
dermatologist in colorado springs that accept medicaid
