Enough is enough! Let the owners pay to fix the sidewalks in front of their homes and businesses.

We have been paying. Over and over. They squandered the money and we are not going to pay anymore.

You can fix a lot of sidewalks with this one example:

==========
LOS ANGELES (CBS)— With the city going broke you may be surprised to find out that Los Angeles is the proud owner of a million dollar yacht and it is about to undergo hundreds of thousands of dollars in renovations at taxpayer expense.

As the head of the Port of Los Angeles raced down the hall, they tried to block our camera and dodged our questions, not wanting to talk about a yacht owned by the port, which is a city agency.

But the mayor said that it is not what we think.

“It’s not a yacht. It’s a boat,” Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said.

But whatever you call it, the Angelena II is 73 feet long and worth about a million bucks — according to a boat broker we contacted — and it is all your money.

In fairness, only 160,000 voted for Tony last time. The other millions of registered voters were too lazy and self absorbed to take the time to vote for QUALITY government in LA. LA is for Losers. Loser is the title you earn when you don't even Vote.

So change the damn law! In many parts of the country, owners are responsible for the upkeep and repairs of the sidewalks that are in front of their properties, and can be sued when someone falls on them.

Why do we need sidewalks at all? It is so un-green. Miles and miles of global warming concrete.

Use dirt paths and grassy knolls.

Citizens with a brain and a backbone MUST demand that ALL City work is bid out to the private sector.Let's know what our costs are up front rather than being crushed under unfunded pensions and benefits down the road. At least we owe that much to our children.

City workers are already being paid! Why should the government waste more money hiring outside workers, when we already have a reliable staff?

street services staff were cut to fund more of tony's give away (28 million) to gang bangers and other special projucts to the illegal voter's that put him in office....contracting out in LA is a joke...only tony's friend's get the work at 4x the price of city workers doing the work,but that's not what the people want to hear so your side walk repair will not get done till the price is right and tony and friends get their's...jmo
