Hard times for Valley's day laborers

With these ILLEGAL ALIENS taking jobs that belong to American citizens pretty soon we will be sleeping on dirt floors.
Some of our citizens are homeless and do sleep on dirt floors. Where is the sympathy for them?

I hope things get so bad for illegal aliens that they go home and leave Americans alone!

It is a shame people cannot find work....perhaps they should do volunteer work for local shelters, hospitals, charity providers. No use languishing....get out there and help those less fortunate than you..... it is time to give back to your community.

This article misstates some basic facts. And the most glaringly inaccurate assertion is that most day laborers in the region are immigrants. They're not. Most day laborers in the Valley are illegal aliens.

These so called laborers have destroyed the construction industry. It use to be a respectable job to start out as a young person just out of high school. Not anymore, now the builders have literal slaves to boss around and working conditions and pay are not much better than a third world business. I hope every single one of them is forced to return to where ever they came from and take what ever family the have or have produced back with them.

This importing of poverty for slave labor has to change. We have US citizens that used to do those jobs as apprentices on their way to journeymen. This was where they learned the quality craftsmanship that we expected in our homes and buildings. Not the crap that is being put together now.

I kid you not, I know of a guy that is having a room addition built that tried to pay the first weeks wages with chickens. Even the illegals wouldn't fall for that one.

I feel nothing for these lottering day workers. And I know that the local 7-11's and such in my neighborhood are taking down the license number of anyone that picks one up for hire and reporting it. They are moving to different corners but there are fewer of them when I drive down ventura blvd at 8am.

But really who cares if they get work..they have no right to be here. I am a bookkeeper / independant contractor and have been out of work since January when the company closed after 20 years, there are so many like me out there, who cant even get any assistance cause we are legal..

I bet 10 out of 10 have at least three or more kids and the wife/girl friend has one in the hanger. Of course all paid for by the tax payers/medicaid. Were bored because we don't have work so lets make a baby, because we don't believe in birth controll and can't afford a condom. How sad-I read a articel where the Spanish men were upset that the Muslim men were making more babies. This was in the paper so its not my quote. How sad the way the brain functions so lets sock it to the American tax payer.

People I know this is off topic but we need help in saving the little anminal that was set on fire in lancaster----------

I am worried that the animal control will adhear to policy and destroy that little fellow after 8 days. Heres another thought : If in fact they plan to stay on policy and the animal is doomed, what kind of care is the little guy getting being he is to be killed. Even Carl Chestman got exellent care up till the time they executed him as with all condemed prisnors. Maybe the bloggers should e-mail the supervisors office to see what is going to happen to the puppy. by going to the supervisors office it ensures proper care and may spare the animals life.
