Sherman Way work back on track

Construction at two blocked intersections resumed Monday after weeks of delays had snarled traffic and hampered local businesses, redevelopment agency officials said.

Note that the large signs announcing the "Beautification" project, that were placed on DeSoto Ave, were immediately covered with graffiti, to the point of being unreadable. There is only one way to beautify this area. No one has the courage to do it.

As far as the construction. There was already a project impacting Canoga/Sherman way, Canoga/Vanowen, Canoga/Victory Topanga/Vanowen and Topanga/Victory. Despite this, they screw up Sherman Way/Owensmouth and Sherman Way/Desoto. That is seven major intersections in a 1 sqaure mile area, that have been bottlenecked. Zine should be looking at the timing of all of these projects. They have effectivly blocked all of the alternate routes that one would use to get around any of the individual projects.
