FWIW, we do not pump oil into our gas tanks. Oil is a component of gasoline. When the cost to get oil to the point where it can be used to make gasoline(along with all the other parts of the process) goes up then the price of gas goes up. Add to that taxes and see what you get.

no you check econ, if there were no war gasoline would not be consumed to run the vehicles in iraq and around the world demand would go down as would prices. besides the government is so dysfunctional they are probably paying 25 dollar per gallon, and justification to raise our gas don't blame me i voted democrat, and yes more taxed is better than more of everything (inflation/depression)heck 2 pieces of popeyes Fried chicken has went up to 1.29 on tuesday talk about inflation. lol

As one benefits(the Bush family,etc.) others pay for there greed, I wonder how car dealerships are doing with this rise in gas...Bush wants to get all that he can for his remaining time as he was the worst president in the history of this country. I cant even name one positive thing he's done for our country.

As the looney liberals. They won't allow the drilling oil in the USA or offshore. They haven't allowed the construction of new nuclear plants.
