Started out very helpful but the quality and progress of were sub-par. Mistakes were made and not corrected. They assured us a large portion of the work would be covered by insurance and that they would work with the adjuster; this was not the case so we paid large portions out of pocket. When we tried to do some of the work ourselves or hire another contracter we were informed that they would therefore increase the rates for the portion of work that had been completed. Several attempts have been made to contact someone to fix items that are "covered" with no response. If I had to do it again I would have done it much, much differently - better yet through someone else.

After the plumber fixed a leaking copper pipe in our house, he suggested that we call NewReal Restoration to repair the damage done by the very small water leak in our ceiling. The repair included scraping away a small amount of black mold and taking out a small patch of installation in the area. The technician quoted a price between $600-$800 to take off the mold. Not being fully aware of the prices for containing mold, I gave the men the go ahead to repair. They scraped mold off where the water had accummulated, left two machines in the room to filter out humidity and heat the area. The technicians were done with the job in two hours or less. They returned two days later to remove their equipment. When I received a bill for $698, I talked to the owner of the company to complain. I wanted to know what made this job anything but a minimal charge. He was cordial and agreed to reduced the price to $600, which was still outrageous considering the time and work performed.

After extensive work by NewReal-I really looked at their bill. They charged us for equipment being there when it was not, charged us for equipment used that Paul Spencer III the owner, said was not the correct solution (and futile), but still charged $615.00. The total for this and equipment that was not there was just under $1000. They claim that as my insurance has paid this it was due them-I am sending the money back to my insurance company rather than them. Just because your insurance is paying does not mean that you can pad your bill

They handled my water leak caused by the upstairs apartment. Very impressed with their team. Quick and efficient. They did not sit around and brush me off. Kept me well informed of the process at all stages. All restoration companies bid projects high. Their quotes are based on insurers' own actuary tables. That's how they negotiate with insurers who are looking for the cheap way out. They definitely worked on my behalf.

I completely agree with JOB WELL DONE. Since the other jobs appear to be out of the area, I wonder if this is the same company as thoase who complained? They worked on my behalf in every phase from insurance to pack out to "New Home" quality completion. It was the best decision I could have made & appreciate my plumber's advice.

I should have written this a long time ago... Paul at New Real Restoration took advantage of my family after the Jesusita fire. Our house was spared, but the property was damaged and the doors were left open by firefighters, so the place was a mess. My insurance adjustor recommended New Real, as they had recently worked on his mothers house. Paul came and told me they would "take care of everything" AND take care of the money end with insurance. I would not be bothered. He dropped 2 air-scrubbers (huge fans) in my living room. They were like living in a wind turbine - so loud you could not think. We turned them off, and I called Paul to have them picked-up. I told him we would wait on the big clean, and do the small stuff ourselves. Paul said "no problem" .Two days later they fetched the machines. EIGHT (8) months later I received a bill for $1260. for the use of the fans. I called and reminded him of the situation and he said "No Problem, I'll deal with insurance" ANOTHER 8 MONTHS later I receive the bill again. This time, he says he had trouble with insurance and I would need to pay. I told him it was CRAZY and I would not pay. I had not used his machines. 16 months had passed since our initial meeting. Paul hired a collections agency to collect. I very reluctantly paid the bill to avoid the hassle and credit ding. If I had the time, I would have sued him in Small Claims court. THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE AND UNFAIR. THEY WILL GO TO ANY LENGTH TO MAKE MONEY, EVEN CHARGING FOR SERVICES NOT RENDERED AND RESORTING TO COLLECTIONS FOR THOSE SERVICES. DO NOT TRUST THEM!
