If you are a moron.

Again, more than one study shows that people who watch/worship Fox News are the MOST UNINFORMED people. There is NO STUDY to indicate otherwise.

Politifact is independent fact checking. MOST BELIEVABLE.

UPS announced today that under Health Care Reform, they will no longer be able to insure their employee's spouses. The cost for O'care is just too expensive for UPS to be able to keep family members on the plans.
And check this FACT: uninsured Americans are grossly unaware that under the health care act they will be FORCED to buy insurance or pay a PENALTY!!!!!! But of course, this isn't "socialism", it's FrEeDumb!!!??

Not too many companies included spouse insurance premiums. Up to now, UPS employees were lucky that their annual raises could be spent this way. Looks like UPS saved on payroll taxes by including spouse premiums. I guess without a lot of good jobs out there, UPS is losing revenue. Ever thought about that????

Again, employer paid health insurance is "employee compensation". Insurance premiums have been going up each year by double digits ever since I can remember (decades). It is OUT OF CONTROL.

Obamacare, although not perfect, is the first step in making it affordable and work for policyholders (more benefits and less admin. fees); rather than against.

It almost sounds like you would rather your premiums continue to go up so the Ins. Execs can, as one put it, "get a bigger piece of the pie", really?

Again, premiums, other than 20% Admin, not used for claims and the reserve have to be returned, at the end of the year, to the policyholders.

Think about it, with premiums going up, have insurance cos. found a loophole to use policyholder money all year "interest free"?

Something to think about. I sure hope if this is the case, someone closes that loophole next year when unused premiums are returned!

Keep in mind over $1/billion in unused premiums were returned to policy holders from 2012. That is a lot of 'interest free money'!

INSURANCE COMPANIES AND MEDICALING BILLING need an overhaul!!!
ObamaCare discourages hiring, discourages full time employment and discourages businesses from becoming large rather than small. The Affordable Care Act also creates explicit taxes on employers, subsidies for layoffs andvarious implicit taxes on employees with many of the same economic characteristics as taxes on employers. By 2015 there will be an overall loss of about 4 million jobs. Consider that ObamaCare aims to insure an additional 27 million people. If economic studies are correct, once they are insured these people will try to double their consumption of health care. On top of that, millions of employees and their employers will be forced to upgrade their health insurance ― making it more generous (and more expensive) than it currently is. Again, more insurance coverage inevitably leads to more spending.
Then there is a lengthy list of preventive services everyone is supposed to insure for, with no copayment or deductible. Even seniors on Medicare are affected. Although no serious scholar has asserted that it has any medical benefits, seniors are getting a free “wellness checkup” every year ― all of which takes doctors’ time and uses valuable resources.
What we are describing is a huge increase in the demand for care. But the Affordable Care Act does nothing to increase supply. This is virtually guaranteed to put upward pressure on prices. To the extent that prices are prevented from rising, it will create enhanced rationing by waiting. And almost anything patients and doctors to do circumvent the cost of waiting will also add to the money cost of care.

Obamacare DOES NOT discourage full time jobs, but rather fulfills Ronald Reagan's PROMISE of "Free Enterprise" creating good jobs w/benefits!

GREED of a few is what creates part time jobs.

Keep in mind, the quickest way to ruin a business is to fill it with a bunch of low wage part time people who, frankly, DON'T GIVE A DAMN about their job! Just common sense.

You comments don't agree with Free Enterprise, more people paying premiums will reduce premiums! More people visiting their doctors on an annual basis will reduce expensive surgeries and medical treatment. Just common sense.

Keep in mind, with all that process food you have been eating sense the 50's, cancer and heart disease diagnosis is on the rise. Wouldn't it be great to nip it in the bud with Rx? Just common sense.

Again, although Obamacare is not perfect, it is a great first step!!!!!

No, it would not make sense to nip it with more Rx. What makes perfect sense is to reduce the price of fuel, thus reducing the price to produce better food. And since Mr. O likes to regulate the crap out of us, he needs to completely revamp the way our food is produced. More organics would be the way to go. All those subsidies to grain farmers need to be stopped and given to [food] producers. You know, the one's who grow the fresh vegetables and fruits we eat. And to the animal farmers. I don't eat junk food and I don't take medications other than the one med I must take to stay alive. Even then, I only take one that is naturally derived, not a synthetic. I refused to even allow radiation after cancer because it just made no sense to "microwave" my body! Less chemical medications, better, healthier foods, organics and preventative medicine is the best way. But then Mr. O would have to give up all that big $$$ from Monsanto! Look that one up. All that GMO food that they try to force us to eat is what's keep them wealthy. We eat that garbage, get sick, keep the drug companies going and Monsanto keeps going because our bodies crave all that high fructose corn syrup and genetically modified food. Obama signed the "Monstanto Proctection Act" and slipped it in with another bill. Just another one of those "back-room, under-the-table deals". Yeah, I really "trust" him.

Reduce the price of fuel.

The oil companies could do it today, if they weren't so greedy. They could take a lower profit, but WILL NOT.

Do you not get it? Speculators are the ones playing with the price per barrel.

What would happen, for future generations, if all the oil were taken out of the ground now and wasted or sold to other countries. Oil cos. buy the leases and own the oil coming out of the ground. What makes you so certain it would be cheaper?

It is better to go green where we can and design autos that make more miles to the gallon.

Do you really believe Corporate American is people too, as Mitt Romney said?

Do you really believe that by drilling more here, with NO REGARD to the environment, will drop the price of oil?

They have been drilling here for a long while, with Gov't (taxpayer) subsidies, why is the price at the pump so high?

Shouldn't those subsidies be for GREEN ENERGY? Why is the GOP in Congress fighting so hard for oil companies not to use the subsidies for GREEN ENERGY?

Do you not care about the future?

When Obama is concerned about something I care about, yes I agree with him.

(One thing I didn't agree with is keeping adults on their parents health insurance plan until age 26. If they can afford smart phones and other expensive toys, they should pay health insurance premiums each month; it is that important.)

We have cars that get great mileage because POTUS issued a mandate for the manufacturing of these cars! Where have you been?

What about all those billions still being given to oil companies who have profits in the billions?

Green energy is the future. Other industrialized countries are way ahead of the US because they invested in this; China too!

Isn't it time we invest and support solar panels, wind turbines...? Rome wasn't built in a day; neither was the oil & gas industry. Green needs a chance! Wouldn't it be great if LA had solar panel and wind turbine manufacturing plants (good jobs w/benefits)?

Why allow all those trees (western states) to burn and put lives and homes in jeopardy. Why not give those trees to Habitat of Humanity and allow them to cut trees for affordable housing (privately purchased)? Money better spent than on putting out these huge fires!

Looks like in the not so distant future, Middle East will shut the US off in favor of China and India. Can you imagine how much fuel will cost then? Before you answer, keep in mind, even though these oil companies get US subsidies, they claim that they are "international global corporations" and will sell to the highest bidder so they can get their stockholders the most ROI.
