I am looking for information on pottery from the Alfred Almond area.Found a pottery dish marked 13 Mix Kanakadea Clay LLPhelan Oct-1946.

Lynn Phelan was a potter in Almond for many years and your pot sounds like it might have been a test piece during college years at Alfred University. Mr. Phelan also taught at Alfred-Almond Central School for a long time. I don't have much more info but you could contact the library at Alfred State College, which has a good historical collection.
