Staff infection from tanning bed

I checked on the internet after reading your comment and it says you can, it actually list staph right after skin cancer on the list of dangers of tanning.

I'm not sure about the reliability of the tanning bed, but heard the employees/owner aren't too reliable.

I know Val personally and she is a clean freak.. There is no way staph could live anywhere near that woman. If I had to guess where it came from I would look to those beds that are not cleaned by the staff of the establishment(like Bodz gym). People say they clean the beds but you never know who was there before you and what they did in the bed. GROSS!!!

Staph is everywhere, you have staph on your skin, it would be hard to pinpoint where the staph came from. 1st step is keeping yourself clean, use an antibacterial soap wash your hands frequently. Staph progresses quickly, fever, malaise, wound would be warm to touch, nonfluctuant and very painful. The only way to diagnose it as staph is to have the doctor to do a culture and send it to the lab.

I have been in uptown girls and found it to be very clean and very nice. Support your local business and go in to the store instead of bashing it.

idk, kinda felt like bashing. I don't personally care for the owner of the shop, but I wish her all the luck in the world. Caney needs people to support it's businesses, not just get on topix and try to tear it down and give it a bad reputation.

I think they are implying that Val has an alcohol issue. Yet again, why are we trying to destroy business owners in Caney? Do we want the town to die out? come on people, show some support.

Well you may be a bit sensitive then if you think that saying "that's what I heard too" and then asking "ask anyone been in there" is bashing. What is was.....saying I heard the rumor too, to verify yes I too have heard it, but didn't even comment on weither I believe it or think it's true. I have no knowledge of the business, never been in it, don't know the owner, nothing, so I then ask if anyone (meaning anyone posting on here) had been in there, figured they could then either say they had a good experience or a bad one and let others know what they think of the place. NO BASHING INVOLVED there. Like I said.....RELAX a little. I happen to support local business' all the time so I'm not interested in giving it a bad reputation or tearing it down, it is real nice to see some new business' going in down town. It needs it.

I didn't know she had an alcohol issue. From what I here people say it is a drug issue. I guess it just proves that if you want real facts and the absolute truth it can be found here on Topix Forum.

I have been in uptown girls it was very nice in there. They brought it up to date but at the same time kept a little peice of the history in there too. Lacey was very nice and helpful and excited about her business and what it has to offer and what she hopes to offer in the future. Her and her sister are two very sweet people. Instead of asking if its dirty get off your butts and go check it out yourself. There is no greater site then driving downtown and see it come alive again. I have also been in vals salon it was not dirty but u would buy a package and then never be able to get appt. So at the end of the month I just felt like I had been robbed of 40 bucks. At laceys ur packages are good for a year. If you arnt able to use them then she will let you give your package to someone else. Val wont do that
