The FN 5.7 comes with 3 magazines of 20 rounds each. The muzzle velocity is almost twice the speed of sound, and muzzle energy at almost 400 ft./lbs. is enough to knock down a bull.

Teevy reporters were wondering why Hasan was able to fill the air with so many bullets and shoot so many people. Well, duhhhh.

Sensationalist opinion, huh? You're not familiar with the facts, and otherwise ignorant. Hasan carried two handguns. He may well have switched to the second one by the time the cop and he began to exchange gunfire. Or the rounds he had in the FN 5.7 may have been low-velocity. High-velocity cop killer rounds are not available to the general public. They are available to law enforcement officers and military personnel.

If you want the truth, it is not the gun or the ammo that can place a well centered shot between the eyes. It takes years of practice and can be done with a .22 just as easily. I would be willing to take bets on this one. Gun control is the ability to squeeze the trigger and stay on target.
