I just recently went(inthe past 24hours) Horsefeathers. I was going to try and help the horses just for the sake of these poor creatures. Instead I got injured by a "trained" Clyde Mare and then Richard wanted me to train Legacy the skinny Morgan that really needs his hoofs done. SO Richard got mad when I sad no and he told me to leave. All he did was use my boyfriend and I to do free work. LAst I knew he was trying to get people to come in and buy his horses. But When I asked about 1 mare, Candy, he raised her proce to $5000. Dont go there unless you just rescue all the horses!

As far as I know she was still there. Most the horses are very skinny including this 2 yr old stud colt clyde and a 2yr old quarter horse stud colt. THey all need their hooves done badly. Last I heard there is 1 boarder left on the farm and Sue has been offically kicked off the farm. She had a ad on the craigslist looking for a new place to baord Legacy. Also all the horses are up for sale. If I could I would buy the Candy,CInnamin and Cody the quarter horse stud colt. He's has a great dipostion.

Thats good to hear thta Jigsaw is out of there... I talked to someone who used to be there and left recently that he got out.

I was not the girl that I was talking about... so get off your high horse. wow. It was deffinately not a place for children... 100% health hazard...

last I heard Legacy is not on the property... I didnt hear about his condition though... he was never skinny last year. wow.

Jigsaw, last I knew, was bought by a woman in buffalo. She was keeping him there while he got broke to ride, which he was, and then was supposed to go back to Buffalo. Whether he went back or not I do not know.
As for being an innocent girl who had to fend for herself because they were all you had... Really? That was all you had? Because I think that the minute you walked in that house to use the bathroom or get a drink you should have realized that that isn't the place for a child anyway. The place is a health hazard

Sue moved after posting on Craigs list for a place. I know that her mare and newest filly are being kept at a private place in canastota for the time being by an older gentleman with a large heart. Suprising Dick seems to be doing ok alone. He still has a few nice horses on the property and the boarders seemed to stick around (for now at least).

and no, I don't think that Legacy is too skinny. Actually, last I saw him he seemed to be a pretty good weight.

Last I heard there was only 1 boarder left and no horses on the property. This was recent within the past 24 hours. When I saw Legacy I could count his ribs and his hips were very angular. I'm glad they are getting out of the horse business just for the sake of the horses.

about 6 or 7 years ago i was there, within the 5 months i stuck around...about 5 or so horses had died of just strangles alone. i brought a horse in from the pasture once with a huge tree branch jabbed into it's shoulder. even then they never called in a vet or had any proper medical care for the horse. i also recall cleaning over 30 stalls with each up to a foot high in manure and urine... i just can't believe the aspca hasn't gone after them yet! it sounds like nothing has changed in the past 6 years and its truly sad..

does anyone remember what happened to that percheron/warmblood cross? she was dapple grey, good weight and gorgeous and at the time they were selling her....i haven't been since August 08. i mucked stalls and stuff for like a month and gave up, there was no hope for it.

yeah i heard about Sue leasing it and changing the name... it's ridiculous. they shouldn't even be allowed to have horses. they practically have a cemetery in their back yard filled with horses that died from all sorts of diseases that barn has... all i can say is it's horrible at that place and that dick and sue are just a bunch of heartless scums.

I believe you are talking about the hanoverian cross gelding... I cant remember his name right now but I rode him a few times... he was supposedely sold when I left, but dick was having people come look at him even after he had a check from the people in Maryland... After I left I dont know what happened... I did get an update a month or two ago and hes not there.

I hope they are officially shut down soon, its ridiculous how people get away with these things for SO long.

the perch/hano was a lot less bulky when i saw him....so beautiful would have made an amazing dressage horse! if anyone knows where he is, i'd like to know

same with that chestnut swedish warmblood? I can't remember his name, but a young girl about 14/15 owned him or something idk since he was still on the farm...he would have made an amazing jumper, the girl was to scared to do anything but walk/trot...

Was the swedish warmblood's named Zeus? If so the gelding is alive and well but she is trying to sell him. She's at a stable in Fulton, but I cant remember the name of it. And I do hope to have the investigation started asap. Again Sue has renamed the place to Union Jack Farms. As far as I know her Daughter and Sue are leasing the farm fro Richard. Not sure on how long that will last.
