Have the parents of each kid pay $15000 to cover the $45000 worth of damage. I bet those kid's parents will give them some serious butt kicking punishment after they find out they owe the school $15000.

To i_m_watching. Not everyone down by the "lake" is a yuppie. Not everyone lives on the West or East Lake Rd. I am curious on the approx. time this took place. I figure that my tax dollars should not pay for the damage.

YUPPIE stands for "young urban professional". Canandaigua would not be considered "urban".

i bet it would at least have them look after there kids instead of have an 11 and 12 year old on the streets. I agree, let the parents pay the dammage bill!

So if the tax payers are footing the bill at $45 grand that means in the real world the cost would be half that.

Parents are legally responsible and they should be made to pay back the district..

Poor , poor, little brats. I'm sure there parents are very proud of them. Send them to State School along with other little brats. parents should pay for all and brats should be ordered by the court to pay parents back by age 25 or gor to jail.. 4500 day should be enough. Kind of harsh maybe , maybe not. Public whipping would be ok too. Still pay . Hold deed to parents house until payed back too.
sorry for your school.btw kick kids out of district too.

Kids in the burbs are out of control. Maybe the "curfew" should be in the burbs, instead of the City??

They should get a 1/2 yrs in school detention, no sports or extra-cirricular activities.
and if they dont agree to that, then expulse them. They can go to school in victor or red jacket districts

Hey Moron, Obviously you don't have kids. If you did, would you let them wander the streets. I don't care if its the inner city or timbuk2 where there's no traffic lights. Be a parent and know where the hell your kids are. If they were abducted it would be a different story though wouldn't it be, Moron!
