South Akron connecting to Towpath

Work is under way on a new section of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in South Akron.

All this will do is give the drug dealers and muggers better access to victims.

What south akron needs is a good carpet bombing. I know, I live there. Anyone wanna buy a house in hell?

Does APD have a bicycle patrol, because I imagine they will need to cover those areas in particular...but,
all in all this is Regionalism at it's finest...who could imagine this many different entities working together to accomplish one goal...and neighboring communities can tie into the system creating an even larger trail system.

Maybe the city will pay off-duty APD officers to keep an eye on it. I sure wouldn't want my daughter biking/Hiking that Summit Lake portion.

I'm excited to see the progress going on. I used to be a promoter for trail with Stark Parks back in the late 90's and early 2000's before moving on.

A walk from Cleveland to New Philly, what a rush. Wish I could still do it.

A group hiked the trail from New Philly to Cleveland in the 90's before the construction started. They were up to their, ahem, in mud and sludge.

Not so exciting.
