Being local doesn't buy you a pass

Someone recently got fired, for good reason, down t the library-art gallery. People posting here seem not to be very familiar with the situation. The person dismissed worked there for a long time, but did not do well at any of the three or four positions they tried shifting her to. The old director, also a local, kept her on and covered for her failings and bad manners; she had an embarassingly obvious crush on him and talked trash about every other employee there. She could be nice and friendly when in the mood or to people she wanted to impress, but would often flare up and be outrageous and rude to other staff and to visitors. You could hear her any time you went into the library or office, sometimes shouting so loud people would leave the room. If she didn't want to get fired, she shouldn't have been such a bitch to her bosses and co-workers. I'm sorry, she would probably still be there if she'd been less obviously disrespectful. Shit happens when you shit where you eat.

He was an incredible twit suck-up too, so she also had bad taste.
