Our country has a mountain of debt facing it right now. Our President and Congress are on the verge of increasing that debt by over $800 billion and at the same time decreasing revenue by cutting taxes. Maybe you could start "policing" our leaders right here, Doc? When you're in a deep hole trying to get out, the first thing that you should do is to stop digging!!

Just as the Republicans couldn't get over on Clinton through their try on impeachment because their guy lost in the election; some of you Democrats should get over the fact that you lost 2 elections until Obama came along, mainly because either side didn't have a candidate or argument strong enough to win. Start this trial effort, and every President will be facing charges after election. Who will want to run, then? Get over it!

I recall that Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, etc, etc all thought that S. Hussein had WMD. The good doctor needs to revisit the situation that led up to the Iraq war. Let's not start acting like a third world country by prosecuting the last President on trumped up charges.

Remember that Bill Clinton bombed Serbia and killed people without UN sanction. Do you want to put him in jail too?

The real problem with all of these people writing to the Eagle demanding impeachment of George Bush is the fact that the spin machine against Bush in this State and in the Northeast was so effective that people are so brainwashed that they can't let the issue go. Think about why that is. We have a State full of diehard Democrats as it is. The spin machine was working overtime for the last eight years to drive home all the negativity about Bush and the Republican party. We are seeing the results of this media manipulation now. People who were so gung-ho about their party to begin with simply cannot rest until they put the final nail in the coffin which for them would be impeachment. The media here in the northeast has created these extremists and now we all have to listen to their ridiculous demands.

The public should now realize just how susceptible some people are to media manipulation especially people who are obsessive about their political party to begin with. This is the end result!!

The letter writer conveniently forgets to include John Kerry and Joe Biden, who voted for the war, along with Hillary - who actually made a very eloquent speech in favor of going to war - in his call for impeachment.

American "liberal" socialists- communist indoctrination put Nazi Germany and Soviet propaganda machines to shame. One of the reason is unbelievable stupidity, envy and ignorance of good portion of population. This doctor is a perfect example of it. It is sad but this country is going down faster and faster. With new loose cannon amateur management it would not take long to fall apart completely.

"The citizenry has a right [AND THE DUTY] to carefully monitor its leaders and intervene when necessary to prevent their crimes."

Johnson/Tonkin, Reagan/Grenada, Bush I/Desert Storm, Clinton/Serbia, Bush II/Afghanistan,Iraq, and now Obama/Afghanistan -- and probably Pakistan, Iran and Africa..... All have used the war machine as means of enriching the miltary/ industrial / banker complex.

And the Mighty Wurlitzer plays on as we quibble over whether the red lizards or the blue lizards are/were the worse.

Obama just selected Geitner to head to Treasury and be over the IRS and the guy was felony negligent with paying tens of thousands of dollars of his own income taxes...

Perhaps. Yet he is as entitled to his opinions as anyone and I see nothing wrong with the points he raised.

"Perpetrating an illegal war is the highest crime against humanity. If any criminals should be held responsible, these should be the first in line."

We have allowed the so-called 'war on terror' to be used to justify the neo-imperialism now occurring in the Middle East and central Asia, and soon to be Africa. Obama will be no different than was Bush & Co. in rationalizing the millions of deaths of innocents and the military personnel lost to date, with more to come.

Augustus,

You seem to have convicted the previous administrations with no evidence and certainly no thought to needing a trial but you sure want to get this investigation under way.

Perhaps you should try reading and then you can open you mind to things like facts. You see we need to gather those facts and understand them before we convict someone in real life.
