Night Before Elections

It was the night before elections, And all thru' the town,
Tempers were flaring as Emotions ran up and down.
I, in my bathrobe sat With a cat in my lap,
I Had shut off the TV, just tired of political crap.

When all of a sudden, There arose such a noise,
I peered out my window, and Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet, They wanted my earned pay
To hand out to others Who had not worked hardly a day!

He snatched up my money, And left quick as a wink,
Jumped back on his bandwagon As I gagged from the stink.
He then rallied his henchmen Who were pulling his cart.
I could tell they were all out To tear my country apart!

On Fannie, on Freddie, On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, on Pelosi' He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause, And as they flew out of sight,
I heard him laugh at a nation Who wouldn't stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think about this poem that someone wrote
And IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM, GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!
Let’s Wave our flag high and tell folks the real original plan;
God has first blessed our nation and so in Him we still stand!!

Sounds to me like you need to watch a little bit more television or do some more research to educate yourself about who has your best interest in mind. Rather than sitting around looking up poems try investing your time in doing some research about who would better benefit your life. If you want someone who is going to invest all of your money in big banks who are going to stick it all in their pockets go right ahead and vote for Mitt Romney. Either way you are going to lose money in taxes you can either give it to big banks who want to stick it all in their pocket or you can lose your taxes to benefit your family and friends take your pick. I know who my choice in November is (Obama). A little advice though educate yourself on the facts rather than educating yourself through some senseless poem.

Very sad, but, unfortunately, I would suspect that the poem writer gets most of his (or her)news from Fox News or Rush Limbaugh. I have come to the conclusion that is impossible to reason with people that are devoid of logical and are led by others rather than thinking for themselves.
A Romney/Ryan Administration scares the hell out of me. How could anyone support a man that has always been extremely wealthy and have never related to the average person. We watch football, Romney's best friends are team owners, we watch NASCAR, Romney's friends are team owners. He ties up yaucts for his friends, while we go out on the lake in a normal sized boat. He lived off of his Dad's stock revenue while in college, while most of us had student loans, he says borrow money from your parents to go to college or start a business - I mean, really, what planet did he just fall from?
I have begged some of my friends to just do some research, check the facts, and do some logical thinking for themselves, but to very little success. Some of the things they say are just plain stupid, but most of just lies that they are repeating.

I have done my research and that is the reason I will vote Romney. I am very well educated and I don't mean by going to college and getting it out of books either.
If every working man and woman would actually take the time to educate themselves then you would know there is only one option in this election. He came from a family that knows how to pull itself up by the bootstraps and make something of themselves and how to make money. That is what we need in the whitehouse. Plus he won't apologize for things the u s didn't do or should be apolobizing for. That came across real clear with Lybia. It took the whitehouse over 24 hours to actually make any kind comment that it was terrorist related. The whitehouse wouldn't have done anything if ROmney hadn't came forward first. Romeny stated we didn't have to apologize for our freedoms and beliefs. If he hadn't, then the whitehouse would have been apologizing right and left and trying bowing down to his fellow muslims.

Is for Obama. Hey frenchburg i guess you missed the many episodes of Romney inserting his foot in his mouth everytime his mouth opens. If he wins,we can all look forward to the united states always sending their apologys because Romney sure won't do it. Romney will tax your hinny off some more and he will be somewhere counting his money that's in his offshore accounts. Better get back to the books and stop watching so much fox news.

If Obama is so great how come when the democrats took control of the congress couldn't get this country back on its feet? Obama and pelosi had their cronies all in place and still didn't get anything accomplish. It wasn't until the republicans took control that things started looking up.
Romney hasn't stuck his foot in his mouth as much as Obama has.LOL
From the sound of these post, no one here really works for a living and if they do, they don't really care one way or another about the election so they just say things to get people all riled up.
It will be interesting to see how everyone will feel once the election is over. Because either way things will change. If Obama gets in the congress will still be controlled by the republicans so it will be a standstill. If Romney gets in, there will be changes made in government handouts. So basically either way if you are a government baby you will be screwed.
But at least if the republicans get in, those that really need the government assistance you will be able to get the help as the working man will be able to work again.

Excuse you. I am a full time college student at Morehead State University and work 30+ hours a week on top of that. My major has to do with politics and I am very well informed about the election and who would better benefit myself. If it is left up to Romney many students will be unable to even afford to go to college, which is ridiculous. If the youth cannot get a college education then what kind of shape will this country be in, in the future. If left up to Romney only very rich and privileged kids will be able to get an education and jobs. If you honestly think that Romney has your best interest in mind go right ahead and vote for him. The basic fact is if you don't have a college education it is going to be impossible for most to get a job, that just how the world is going. So my advice to you would be get a college education and learn a thing or two about politics and how everything "really works" in the growing world around you. I have experienced a lot in life and am a very hardworking person and am really determined for my age. I am thankful for the opportunities and grants that are available for myself and my peers to go to college. Needless to say their will always be dumbass people such as yourself who stereotype democrats as being "lazy bums" who do not work and live off of welfare and if thats the case you have a lot of learning to do. Go right ahead and vote for Romney for whatever reasons you may have, but come November I will be laughing my ass off when everyone else in this growing world around you re-elects Obama into office.

Gonna have to worry about getting people graduated from high school first. The news is full of stories about what a high percentage of high school students there is who don't graduate. This is due to the breakdown of families, thanks to all of this liberal crap in our society today. Let's all vote Romney and try to restore some sanity so families and our country can try to get back on track!

....Because voting for Romney who will only be concerned with large corporations and other people in his wealthy click is going to help increase the graduation percentage, that's logical. Someone who has never had to want for something in his life and has never been a part of the middle class will really be concerned about your sanity and getting the middle class back on track, yeah right... Go right ahead and vote for Romney, if you want to pay a higher tax rate than big corporations do. High school graduation is down because of teenage pregnancies, which will continue to rise if Romney gets into office and makes it impossible for teens to get free birth control. Romney does not care about some teens lack of inability to pay for birth control. Also once again you may want to do some research like the other person about here is a link about dropout rates reaching epidemic levels in 2006 and who was president then? No other than Romney's fellow Republican Bush. http://abcnews.go.com/TheLaw/story... Also for you logic that high school students are not graduating here is another story from this year 2012 stating otherwise.http://latimesblogs. latimes.com/lanow/2012/06/drop uts-down-graduates-up-state-re ports.html So if you "gonna" are going to use drop out rates to argue why Romney would be a better choice you better do a little bit more research to back up your facts. My vote is still OBAMA!

All baloney. Romney does care about this country and all its people. He would not have put himself and his family through such a campaign as this has been had he not cared. It's hard for good people like Romney, even if he is rich, to just stand by and watch everything go to hell.

This shows what you know! haa haa

Obama is the one that wants to stop the Bush tax cuts and raise taxes. Democrats through history always raise taxes.

Also

I wonder if God would vote for a party that supports killing little babies and supports gays getting married. Or a party that takes God and the capital of Israel out of their platform.
Or a party that started the KKK and lynched thousands of blacks.
Or a party that fought against the Republicans for black peoples rights in the last century.
The only reason they say they support black and hispanic people is so they can get their votes.

What an absolute load of ****.
God doesn't vote in elections and I would respectfully suggest that you have no idea what God would do. I am so disgusted by so called Christians telling me how God would vote. I doubt very seriously that he cares one twit who you or I vote for. And, I would also suggest that the real God loves men and women of all religions, not just people of Israel.
...and to say that the Democrats were the only ones that belonged to the KKK is just plain stupid. People of color know which party best represents them - that is why they vote in the 80-90 percent range for the Democrats. They are not quite as ill-informed as you would suggest.
President Obama does not wish to increase taxes on the middle class and low income people - only those making over $250,000.

I have put myself through college.LOL I worked two and three jobs at a time and still had over ten thousand dollars in debt. That My two siblings also put themselves through college and they too had over ten thousand dollars in debt. We had to take out loans as well as work. The reason being that our father worked and made to much money for us to get grants. We went to public colleges because we couldn't afford private colleges. WHen we looked at what we wanted to do with our lives, we could get a great quality education at the public colleges. Since the price was right we decided to attend this fine public institution.
I have a question for you, if all of our youth go to college, then who will we get to work at the blue collar jobs? Who will work at gas stations, walmarts, fast food, mechanical work on our cars?
It has been proven that if the youth continue to go to college then they will be a shortage of blue collar workers in the future.
Apparently they are not teaching you anything in those political science classes. I have a minor in history and we did talk about these things in my classes back in the early 90's.

One... It's not the 90's anymore. Like I said it's a changing world, get used to it! Two... I do not care, if you had the money to not need government help with college, then you honestly did not need it, their are several people who I'm sure needed it a lot worse than you did. Three... I go to a public college, I need grants, scholarships, and loans all to pay for my education. Obama wants to keep tuition down for college students, Mitt Romney does not give two shits about how young adults pay for college, or even if they get to go because of circumstances beyond their control. Do not worry. It does not matter how many options are available for students to be able to afford college, their are still going to be plenty of people who opt out of going to college and work your so called "blue collar jobs" not to mention their are plenty of students who work these "blue collar jobs" while going to college and while attending high school. Their is no need to worry about people working these jobs you talk about. In addition to working on cars, that requires an education that grants can help people pay for. Working on cars is a well paying job and would pay for itself in no time, I would not consider it a blue collar job. So for your information they teach me plenty in my political science classes, just because you disagree with my opinion do not doubt my knowledge and education. Just to set you straight think about this you ask Republicans what they stand for today, their only agenda on the economics is tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans (which will cost $700 billion dollars) and spending cuts. But, will giving an average $100,000-per-year tax break to people making a million dollars a year help to rebuild the middle class, promote growth, and improve job numbers? The Democrats' signature domestic policy goals – infrastucture spending, green energy initiatives, investing in education, a new energy policy that doesn't rely on fossil fuels, regulation of the financial industry, laws to protect workers, and taxes to boost the middle class – will pave the way for a better economic future. So hmmmm, I really do not see how you think Mitt Romney will benefit you or your family, unless of course you make over a million a year??? Like I said my vote is for Obama. Give it up and DO NOT doubt my education or political knowledge. Give it up you are fighting a losing battle with me. If you think that Romney is the best choice for you, then you have some other issue with Obama rather than him not having your best interest in mind.

I don't have to doubt your knowledge. You show it in the way you write your response. You show no respect for anyone. With that attitude you will not get very far in life.
I respect your opinion, but you don't seem to respect mine. Typical teenager attitude.
I have at least thirty years of world experience, age and wisdom on you. As such I think I know just a little bit more how this world really works.
I can promise you no one needed those grants anymore than me and my family. It has been my experience those that have all the handouts don't appreciate thier education as much as those of us that had to work our butts off and take out loans.
I would like to say a little more but if I did, then I would be disrespectful to you and a whole lot of good people out there. So I won't.
As far as my remark about blue collar jobs, it is a well known fact that fewer and fewer people are wanting to do these jobs as college education is being pushed upon our kids.
Renewable energy is a noble idea but not a economically feasible one. It cost more to produce electric etc... with the alternative sources than it does with coal. Not only that when you use these sources you will also have to lay off the coal miners. There isn't enough jobs in the alternative energy market to employ those miners.
Every company that Obama gave economic help too for developing these alternative source of energy has went bankrupt. Sound policy wasn't it?
As far as the tax breaks, the republicans are not wanting to add more tax, just want to take care of the loopholes.
Let me ask you this, if you had a company and made half million a year, would you be willing to expand that company if you knew you would have to pay more taxes? I don't think so. So you would just help keep more people out of work and just encouraging them to stay on government assistance. But if you knew that you could make another quarter million and not pay more taxes would you be willing to expand your company. I think you would and as such you could put more people to work and less on government assistance.
You are a mere child and have a whole lot of growing up. Enjoy these years but don't have such a wise ass know all attitude and be willing to actually listen to others that are older and wiser than you and you will go far.

Typical person. Try to bring someone down when you know you are in the wrong. I presented my facts and opinions to you and your only rebuttal is that I need to grow up, correction I don't. I get angry when someone doubts my knowledge and yes I will give you an attitude. I respect your opinion but if I remember correctly you are the one who tore into my case first by saying this, "From the sound of these post, no one here really works for a living and if they do, they don't really care one way or another about the election so they just say things to get people all riled up." So I defended myself. Then once again you stated, "Apparently they are not teaching you anything in those political science classes." So once again I defended myself and stated my case. You are merely upset over the fact that I presented you with facts that you are unable to argue with and your only rebuttal is that I am young and need to grow up. Obviously since your only defense is trying to down me you do not know nearly as much as you really think you do. During the debate tonight Mitt Romney completely changed what his whole campaign has stood for just to make himself look better tonight. If that's who you want for a president go for it. My vote is for Obama and I am through with this discussion when the only thing you can do is degrade me. When you want to actually give me some facts to work with then maybe you may have a chance to change my mind, but otherwise at the moment I am not going to argue with someone about my knowledge.

P.S. Most of the people I know that are older and wiser than I am support my opinions and see through Romney's load of bullshit... In addition they think I am a smart and very mature young woman.
