People in America need to realize jus what got America in this shape..."cheap" yes so-call cheap items from a foreign land.

quote*Wal-Mart firmly believes in local procurement. We recognize that by purchasing quality products, we can generate more job opportunities, support local manufacturing and boost economic development. Over 95% of the merchandise in our stores in China is sourced locally. We have established partnerships with nearly 20,000 suppliers in China.*end quote!

Now! if there be 182 country's making items for the world to buy and they have only 5% of the pie in China...duh! This company makes the nice people of China support their currency(yuan) by keeping it in their country working for the people there.... but with the "yuan" going up in value and the US dollar going down...all the foreign items that the American consumer buys thinking it is cheap has went up in price.

People...its all about the currency and to keep a currency strong you got to keep it floating around the country you live in so it can work for you. For the past 12 years all them US dollars are being shipped overseas to a foreign bank and with the American worker not making anything for the foreigner to buy the "we the people" have to turn to the "second" largest employer in America(Uncle Sam) to sell "we the people" debt in order to get all them dollars back!

50 years ago a foreigner would had given their left nut for a US dollar or a Hershey's chocolate bar and today the same foreigner has got Uncle Sam and the American consumer by both all the while Hershey is moving the chocolate factory to Mexico. Wake up! America and think "MADE IN AMERICA."

Do you work for Meijer's?

This story is about cartwheels. If you want to hate Walmart, that is your right. But is it really necesary to post the same thing on every thread?

These schools are nuts. I say let the children cartwheel until they get sick to their stomachs. Some might get hurt in the process, but hey...that's what childhood is all about. As a kid, my friends and I would do all that "kid stuff" (wrestle, climb trees, cartwheels, sandlot baseball, shoot bows and arrows, build tree houses, slide our sleds down the middle of the road, rock fights, tomato fights, climb in a big barrel and roll down the hill, build go-carts so we could race down the big hills in the area, swimming and ice skating at the local ponds, on and on and on) Guess what...we all lived and gained a huge amount from the experience.
I am fortunate to have had a full, rich, fun childhood. All children should have the childhood that I had. Too many sheltered, pampered, coddled kids now days are robbed of the joys and learning experience of a good childhood by over protective parents and school administrators. Shame on them.

Why do our kids need to do cartwheels when the Chinese can do them far better and cheaper? Go down to Walmart and buy a Taiwan-made TV and watch the Chinese gymnasts do them instead. No risk, no effort, no problem.

Next thing you know, they will forbid you to kick the ball, so that it hits the kid you do not like, in the face.

Dammit, they never let us have any fun!

Heh, I have walked off the curb. Damn near broke my ankle in doing so.

I was looking at a surfer who was taking off his wetsuit, and the sidewalk stopped, but I did not!!! <blushing>

Little Mary came home from school with fifty cents.
"Where did you get that?" her mother asked.
"Jimmy gave it to me to do a hand stand," Mary replied.
Mother said,"He just did that so he could see your panties."
Next day Little Mary came home with another fifty cents.
"Did you do a hand stand for little Jimmy again?" asked Mother irately.
"Yes, but I fooled him this time," answered Mary, proudly.
"And just how did you do that?" her mother wanted to know.
"I didn't wear any panties," replied Mary, with a smile.

I am the P.E. Teacher at a small school, and I encourage and teach the kids how to do Flips, Cartwheels, Handstands, and what ever else they come up with. It is a way for them to exercise in a fun way. There is no sitting around in my class, you must participate and have fun.

Why does anybody care if Aussie kids aren't allowed to do cartwheels.
