CNN had this on tonight ... I watched the film and the beating of this young boy. I have never seen anything as brutal as that ... my goodness. Those people beat on him and beat on him and someone hit him in the back so hard his young body lurched forward. I hope the parents of that child sue whoever is responsible, and the men who did this are charged with his death.
We don't even treat the terrorist jailed prisoners as severely and to treat a 14 year old boy in this manner was horrific.

You people are the reason this country is the way it is. If the parents would have enforced disciple and control at home, this little delinquent would not have been put in that position. nobody sees that he STOLE a vehicle and ROBBED a store, things that were property of honest, law abiding citizens. Does anybody care how the store employee felt when this punk put a gun to his/her face? stop making excuses for the criminals. Sure, get together and organize protest, back up the criminals and show them that no matter what crimes they commit, all is ok. GOD help this country. No wonder the terrorist attack us and kill our citizens , they see there is no control because we let criminals get away with what they do.

This young man took his grandmother's suv and was
tresspassing at a school. There was no robbery!
Officers have no right to kill people.
He was comitting no crime. He was beaten to
death and those officers who did this must pay for
his murder. Citizens are tired of government
corruption. They should be setting a good example.
Why would any young person believe in the system or
trust law enforcement after viewing such a horrific
crime???

As a mother of two sons, I am extremely outraged at the brutality that those goons inflicted on 14-year old child, Martin Lee Anderson. Imagine six grown men with batons beating the life out of that child and continuing to beat his lifeless body. And now the powers that be are positioning themselves to say that that was OK. Those men are murderers of the lowest kind. Why didn’t they pick on someone their own size? They are bullies of the worst kind and should be court-martialed and shot.
As if to add further insult to injury, the medical examiner’s office decided to be a co-conspirator in the attempted cover-up with their phony cause of death determination. I personally know all the symptoms of sickle cell anemia. Apparently, there is a new form of sickle cell disease, one that causes physical injuries to the head, lungs, kidneys possibly other internal organs and broken bones.
Further, there is another aspect of this event that I have not seen addressed. The other boys witnessed the whole incident. Has anyone evaluated the effect of witnessing such brutality on one of their peers have on those impressionable children? Whatever they may have done, I am sure that their crime was not murder. Who is addressing the psychological trauma that they have to face with no counseling?
Based on the reports that come from those camps and comments by professionals in the field, it would be best that those camps be closed. The people who are hired to work there are those who have no interest in the present welfare or future of those in their charge. It appears that sadistic racists make up the majority of their staff.

Everyone involved in the beating should be arrested and put in prison. And given REAL time not 3 months and a year of probation. They even went to a different man to do the autopsy. One with an expired license and not the one that should have done it. Maybe they couldn't buy the other one. I feel that it was a cover up from the begining. May GOD bless his family and the government officials that are scared of handling this the right way.

SHUT THEM DOWN!!!!!!!!!! He didn't even have sickle cell anemia, he just had the trait. In other words he carries one copy of the abnormal gene along with a normal copy. People with sickle cell have two abnormal genes. I've done a pub med reasearch on this and so far the only common complications I've been able to find are hematuria - blood in urine and hyphema - bleeding in the eyes, very minor complications, not spontaneous fatal hemorrhage. There is some evidence that there's increased risk for hemorrhage and stroke in people with Sickle cell trait and other confounding factors. Maybe a beat down would classify as a confounding factor.

I totally agree with you. It is a shame he died but the media needs to quit trying to stir things up by portraying him as a sweet little innocent child who got beat to death. The autopsy showed differently. I'm sure he wasn't the most easy to handle kid in the first place or he would Not have been in the detention center to begin with. When are we ever going to stop making excuses for people???!!!

crime??? Maybe after they view (what you call "a horrific crime") they will learn NOT to disobey the law and get placed in a detention facility. The most important thing one can teach a child is responsibility. It is a shame he died, but it was not murder and instead of people making excuses and getting the public stirred up, they should be thinking about how to teach their children right from wrong, so that they know not to break the law and get locked up. If you do the crime, you must pay the time.

So often the news media reports on parents being arrested for physically discipling their children. But here we have a story where children are sent to a "Boot Camp" where people are paid to physically abuse them. Makes alot of sense!

As more information about this case is revealed, it shows more clearly what actually happened on that fateful day. Martin Lee Anderson was specifically targeted for murder the minute he walked into that camp. Why? He was black and he was poor. The murder seems almost planned. He was run into the ground by the extreme physical exercises he was subjected to, and when he was unconscious he was finished off in true Mafia style with some holding him up exposing his vital organs while the others do the damage. This was the most disturbing true-life violence against a child that I have ever seen. Even Rodney King was moving when he was being brutally beaten. This child was totally unresponsive throughout the entire ordeal and his beating only ended when he was apparently dead. He was probably beaten even after he was dead.
Now that there is evidence to substantiate what anyone who was not blind could see, I hope that those murderers would be brought to justice. But let us not forget the ‘angel of death’ with her white hair and white coat who tacitly sanctioned the murder of that child by standing there observing and doing nothing to stop the killing.
I say ‘BRING THEM TO JUSTICE, HAVE THEM FACE THE DEATH PENALTY, AND EXECUTE THEM FOR THE MURDER OF THIS DEFENCELESS CHILD’
Finally, parents of all children who were fortunate enough to survive that place should have their sons examined for injuries that may not be apparent now but may shorten their lives or significantly affect them in the future.
