Amazon's been sending people home early for a while now. Are layoff's inevitable? How soon after Jan. 1st do you think layoff's will begin and how many will they layoff? Hopefully i'm wrong because I sure need my job.

didn't renew their contract with the area. that says it all. thank you guys who voted for george w. bush and especially those of you that did twice. so don't bitch about the country going down the drain we're just a few of millions he has cost jobs for now. guess he's on his way to texas and his multi million dollar home with all his millions tucked away safely. our country hasn't see the last of what he has cause yet. see you in the welfare lines.

If you have a green badge, your going home unemployed. I was invited into apply & drug test with this weeks paycheck....so if you did not get one; maybe the next round of hiring.

Is that why they're hiring more people on the 19th? You guys amaze me how much time you spend on here trying to determine whether you'll have a job. Why not just ask your bosses?

I don't believe they will hire on the 19th
Jan.Feb. and March are slow months so I expect to be on 40 hours or less.Anybody that worked there for the last 9 years can tell you that after peak are our slow months. Then we pick back up
They will let some full time associates go for bad attendance but I don't see them hiring anyone back.
Almost all the temporary ppl assigments will end.
They didn't work for Amazon they worked for Temp agency so Amz not laying off its the Temp agency letting ppl go because AMZ no longer needs extra help.
I can't figure out why Seasonal Associates go around saying they got laid off from Amazom they never worked for Amazon they worked for Staff Managemant at Amazon not for Amazon..It was a temporary job.
Sorry but that the way it works..I worked there in 99 as a Temp.My assigment ended..I went to work in 2000 as a Amazon associate and have never been laid off and as far as I know no Amazon associate has been laid off they have taken voluntary time off but not laid off
