What to do about a neighbors barking/stinking dog! The blame thing lays & sleeps all day & barks all night long, every night. In the county, does anyone know if anything can be done? No need talking to them, won't help.

You can be charge with cruelty to animals for doing that. It is something the courts are starting to enforce. Look at what happened to John Humphress. He got a year in jail for starving and letting some horses die.

Not gonna do anything, just wish it didn't bark all night long. Pretty dog, just loud.

I feel your pain. Hearing a Dog Barking all night could drive a person crazy. We had a dog, and a neighbor complain about the barking at night and later that week we got rid of the dog. It's all about showing some respect for your neighbors. We didn't feel the dog was that loud at all, but to keep the peace we had to get rid of him.

I know first hand some pet owners tend to be little rude and self righteous about their pets. I always try to respect others space.

You voice situation about the animal disturbance and people are already attacking you. Apparently many people who don't even know you show more sympathy for these animals then you having peace. You have every right in the world, to voice your case.

I probably would talk to the neighbors, just be straight and honest with them. They may try to do something or develop a plan.

This World is messed up.

Persons that allow their animals to bark all night and keep up the neighborhood is one of my biggest pet peeves. 1. I hear that anti-freeze in a bowl and given to the dog can be very effective. 2. Call the owner every time the dog barks. 3. Call Animal Control every single day. It appears that legally no one cares how much your rights are infringed upon. 4. All of the above not necessarily in that order!!!

I agree with you all about the barking dog. I think as with the leash law there should be a gag law to. Guess what? If I was outside of my house in the middle of the night making a lot of noise the law would be called, same with the dog.

If the dog is taken to the shelter John Harris can take good care of it.

Nothing worst then watching a owner do nothing as their dog barking and growling away at you as your walking on the street.

Also the problem with pet owners allowing their pets to use the bathroom on your property. I would never tolerate this behavior from one of my pets.

What legal action can be taken if a dog is placed on the boundary line? I know the family that has this pit bull or whatever right on the boundary line. The dog is on and over the boundary. The owners have to remove the dog in order to perform lawn care.

The animal shelter talk like nothing can be done. Anyone know a persons legal right?

There is nothing more aggravating than a barking dog. I don't know how the dog owners just tune it out. I can't. I use to live in a house that had a privacy fence along the boundary of our back yards. Everytime I would mow or pull weeds from my side of the fence the dog would try its best to stick its face under the fence and bite me. It would growl and snarl and show its teeth. The owners never paid any attention to it. They just better be glad my six year old son didn't get bit or it would have been a 'dog gone' shame for that dog. In my opinion, that's the same as disturbing the peace the same as loud music is. All of you who have dogs that bark all night, have some respect and if your dog won't shut up, put it in the house so others can rest.

If all else fails, and one is losing sleep it's hard to be responsible for that type of behavior. It's much better than killing the owner!!! It's also effective. I don't appreciate being called an "animal killer"....I've never killed an animal. My tendency is to call the owner everytime the dog wakes me up, and to annoy Animal control daily. However, I have been upset enough to consider giving the dog a big drink!!

maybe you should consider taking a big drink of anti-freeze yourself. It would be much better than to kill the dog.
