Druther's has a salad bar. Creekside has a buffet bar. You really need to go almost to Columbia to Betty's OK Country Cooking.

And don't forget -- only pick up ONE piece of meat. Betty's charges a dollar extra per each piece of meat. And if you have kids, you'll be paying full price for their meals, too.

Buffets are really NOT the healthiest way to eat. That is one sure way to tempt yourself into overeating and becoming obese. However, it is nice when someone else cooks the food when you're too tired to fix a 5-course supper.

Well at Betty's, it is not one PIECE of meat, it is one helping. Ask a waitress how many pieces of the meat you can get in a helping.
Yes, you need to load up your plate, but there are bowls for salad and dessert, beans and soup as well as plates for your buffet.
I don't think you will go hungry. You could also choose to order off the menu. And don't be surprised if the restaurant is FULL. It is full from breakfast to dinner to supper.

Make sure you take real money or a checkbook, cause they wouldn't take my debit/cc card. That could have been really bad if someone in my group hadn't brought their checkbook.
I miss our golden corral :(

Can't load up, Betty's limits how much you can get on that one trip.

Try the new "Jake Spoon's" out on the bypass. The food sucks and will give you diarhea but you can eat as much as you want.

Be careful of any buffet. I was at a buffet out of town getting my food. I looked up an elderly woman was getting some potato salad. She put the spoon in her mouth and cleaned it good then put it back. She probably for a moment forgot that she was not at home. Guess how I felt. She never acted like she did anything wrong. Still sick to this day. Cannot eat at a buffet anymore.

That is so totally gross. And I 100% believe it too. I watched some guy sneeze into his hands, then handle the spoons at the buffet. Why bother washing your hands before you eat if you're going to handle the spoons that everyone touches at a buffet? It is a germ haven.
I didn't know that Betty's has the food police monitoring how much food you take from the buffet. That is interesting. Are you on camera or something? The poor waitresses, as if they don't have enough to do, they also have to monitor and count how much meat you have? Sounds like too many rules for me. Not worth the trip out there in my opinion. Why don't they just have you order the meat, and then let you go to the buffet for the rest? Wouldn't that make more sense?
Why did our Golden Corral close up?

I'd love to see Ryan's come here or maybe bring back Golden Coral or something. We definitely need some type around here.

The only way Golden Corral will come to C-ville is if the restaurant is corporate-owned, according to an Elizabethtown GC manager. The manager told me a couple of years ago that the Elizabethtown Golden Corral is corporate owned. If I'm not mistaken, C-ville McDonald's is corporate-owned.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Ruby Tuesdays build on the bypass near the Alex Montgomery lots in the near future. Ruby Tuesdays is presently holding some land with an option to buy. The county clerk's office and some key people in this town know what's coming and what's not. Don't hold your breath for a Target. Walmart knows this, so expect some price gauging.
