Flowers look pretty nice, actually. In fact, downtown looks better than I've seen it the last several years.
Now, if we could get some retail and restaurants in there and somehow convince some attorneys and a certain office supply place to make room...
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen any time soon.

Is it bad I'm tempted to run for mayor. I've worked for everything I have. I budget to pay my bills on 8 bucks an hour, so I know how to prioritize and not waste money. I'm considerate of others. I'm stubborn so I don't give in to pressure easily, yet I am open minded enough to look at multiple sides to a problem.

We need a mayor in this town that didn't grow up with money. We need someone who actually knows the value of a dollar!!!

Dave Nunnery would be a good Mayor. He's always been fiscally conservative on the City Council and yet has had a progressive, forward thinking attitude as well. I'd like to see him run.

That settles it then. I William Davis am announcing that I plan on running for Mayor.

My goals for this town.

Create a youth center for teens, therefore creating jobs for a few people, and giving the kids in this town something to do.

Spend our city's taxes efficiently. I don't know how much the mayor makes but 8 bucks an hour is a modest pay rate, anything over that can and will be put back into this town to benefit us all.

Try to bring more jobs into this town.
One town beautification project would be paying people 8 bucks an hour to pick up the trash on the sides of our roads. It would be a never ending job, but will help some people put a roof over their head and help make our town look better.

That's just a small start. I'm sure we all can come up with ideas and improve this town together!
