Just a question did anyone see the Lexington News about a gun and badge found after a ballgame belonging to a local State Trooper? Who did it belong to, I don't get Lexington TV stations?

correct me if I'm wrong , but are not schools classified as gun free zone. so the cops can break the law why off duty, by bring a gun into a gun free zone ,and were not call for one thing being wrong. and its ok ,
if the avg joe had left the gun at the school where would the avg. joe be right now ? jail ?

police can take their guns anywhere anytime! They are exempt from the school rules and most laws regarding possession of firearms..

people make mistakes, but where were these items found? Why would you lay both items down and forget about both? I would think any police offiperson's cer would keep both items ON their person.

They are exempt on and off duty. KSP troopers have a duty to act if they witness anybcrimw while on or off duty, thus they can carry badge and weapon at all times. For example, if a fight broke out...he would have been expected to identify himself and attempt to stop it. Troopers are never completely off duty.

Wrong....it says there was one bullet in the chamber and that the security guard removed a fully loaded clip.
