Have you talked to a boss or manager about this? You definitely should.

I tried the eeoc and they said that they couldnt realy help me somethin aboutt the labor board. So I called the labor board and they told me to call the eeoc back.

I have experiance in the field i am over 4 years. But the company i worked for laid off alot of people because times are hard. So i got this new job and because I am a woman they will not let me do the work that i am able to do.

no harm ,but maybe it's not because you are a woman. but because your spelling is not very well. for example: somethin- something , aboutt- about, experiance- experience. just something to think about.

Maybe they are not allowing you to do what you feel you are qualified to do because A) you are at a new place of employment and they don't need you to do that, or you have not worked your way up to such a position. B) You are not as qualified as you think you are. C) One of many other potential legit reasons as to why you can not have or do what you want.

If your claim is legit then there is plenty you can do about it. If you have already called all the proper hotlines and are not getting the attention you feel you deserve, then keep calling. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I have 4 years of experiance and an additional 2 for diffrent jobs in this line of work. A woman has never been any higher in this company than what i am doing right now several diffrent men who don't realy care who does the job as long as it is done has informed me that as long as i am at this company i will NEVER do anything other than what they have me doing.

If that is true, and he is saying this because of your gender, then you have one hell of a case. I say get a little tape recorded and put it in your pocket. Start up and record the conversation. If you get him saying such things, get a lawyer and nail thier asses.

Lots of people have jobs where spelling out words isn't even required of them to do. So stop being a smart@$$.

I recently took Sacramento Paratransit on the 14th and on the 16th of May 2010 as a disabled passenger. In addition, the first driver who picked me up on the 14th laughed at me because I was in a wheel chair. I aked him what his problem was, and he said that disabled people make him laugh. As I may recall, his name is Choo, he's Asian, and he is ugly. The second driver who picked me up said "ugly disability". I was quite offended by that, eventhough he couldn't speak very good English. He just so happens to be Eastern Indian with a name I can't pronounce, and he's stupid. The Paratransit Board that handles the complaints for those who've been discriminated against by Paratransit drivers don't care about how the Paratransit drivers treat the passengers because they think we're making it up. As a result, they don't do anything about.

Consider yourself lucky to have any job around here. There are BA's working at McDonalds. Unless your someones realitive or friends of the click, your lucky to have any job here. You have the local government and wal-mart, than you have family businesses. All the others that hire outsiders are not hiring right now. With the economy the way it is, they'll probably not hire for awhile.
