cant believe they are not on petfinder.=[
if u are on facebook u can see several shelters have a facebook page and do lots of work to try to get their animals adopted. no reason cville can't do this. someone can set up a page concerned ppl about the tc shelter. get the word out and get networked with other ppl who care about animals. you'd be surprised how many non-local ppl would join &possibly help.
contact some shelters who work hard & r dedicated like grayson co & bowling green-warren county & ask what suggest to get this shelter investigated & run properly.
contact wbko, maybe they would do a story. if they turn it down, try lex & lville tv stations.
write letters to the editor of the cknj, the courier journal & the lex herald leader. ppl all across the state read those papers & u might find someone who could help get an investigation going or how to go about it.
contact the aspca. they report on animal cruelty and inhumane conditions. spay/neuter, shelter adoptions and other pet issues get most of their attention whereas peta might be too focused on vegetarian and fur issues. still doesn't hurt to contact them though.

I went in and looked around.
The day and time I went in, it wasn't any worse or better than any other small shelter around here. I went to columbia and looked around there. The main difference I saw was there were about 8 young guys and a couple of young girls at cville, 3 of which actually appeared to be working with the animals, the others were just following each other around, talking. I saw no one over the age of 20 or so.
Columbia had much fewer animals and 3 people working 2 older than 30. They have better programs to adopt animals out and seems like more community support, grants, donations, and a rescue program that takes their overflow to other parts of the country.
But as far as cleanliness it wasn't THAT big of a difference considering the amount of critters they had.
So the facts come down to this, as a director, John seems to be the one not doing his part, the programs offered and pushing the community for support, and the fact there didn't seem to be anyone over 20 in charge at the place.
The kids working were friendly and helpful, I don't mean to put them down, I just wondered why no one with "experience" was even there to supervise. I was there a pretty good amount of time, looking and playing with the animals, they must have been well hidden if they were there.

As for "pushing for community support", there are people in this community who would love to help but our animal shelter outright refuses any help from the community.

Wow concentration camp lol, what about a picking. What I mean is how can someone do that to animals as well as take someone's Bill and force them to give it as a donation to the shelter and not do it take it home between them all and slaughter the bull for themselves YES themselves, their evil in all aspects. That's why inbreeding is against the law but no one told their parents that but look at who that are.
