i watche din toatl ashamement, for our university and our police dept. i have always been under the understanding the university was a christain based school? well i have always said that was a joke and now i know for sure its a joke, and as usual the cops go way over their bounds, making up their own rules and laws, and as far as the city, well we all know the college pulls all the strings int he mayors office, but what do we expect from this small town of hypercrites, political butt holes. this townis getting worse by the day,i myself am so fed up... but im stuck here for a while anyway,,, good ole university we have full of drunks, druggies, lesbians, gays etc... we could go on and on....

It may be a christian college, that doesn't mean these dudes get to set up church on the sidewalk and harrass the kids that walk by. If anyone wants to get preached at they can go to church, internet, tv, radio, etc. It is 2009. You don't have to force people to listen to it. I woulnd't want these weirdos preachin his opinions to my kid. They came here wanting to cause trouble, good little christians they are! Good job Bishop and Riggs and good job to CU security for looking out for these college kids.

This guy seems to me to just want to start trouble so he can sue.People that feel they have to force their beliefs on someone else is usually insecure in their own beliefs.

Quite possibly they were testing their first amendment rights. Turns out they don't have any in Campbellsville. The University thinks they own the public streets which we, the taxpayers, have provided that run through the University. And the University Security dictated to the police department what should be done. Sad commentary on our fair town.

I agree with you. You can tell they set it up with the camera. He was preaching to nobody most of the time with the camera right on him. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink there Mr. Preacher. There is a time and place for everything and they didn't want to hear it at that time. technically I would have also felt harassed.

It would have been cool to hand out brochures and invite college kids to come to their church, then once at his church he can share with them his opinion of the bible. But to stand on the sidewalk and yell to these kids that they fornicated last night and they will swim in a burning lake of fire...whatever. If you check this guys website out you can see he does this all the time on college campuses and bashes police and security. This is NOT a guy that needs to be preaching at kids. How did he know they fornicated and got drunk last night..?

He's also filming people without their permission. I saw one or two try to hide their faces. I also thought that the campus was private property. Public streets would be Broadway, Main, South Central and so forth...not the path to the dining hall for the campus.

I think CCC also needs to look into the classes they require the kids to take about the Bible. The professor is teaching Mary was raped . CCC I think this is far out to make students listen to a professor who is teaching this. This class is requierd by the school so less fix that to.

I didn't see him harrassing anyone. He simply was preaching and most people just walked on by and ignored him. A few even took his tracts and said thank you. Point is, when he's standing on the sidewalk he is within his rights as long as he isn't physically harming himself or anyone else. The University security didn't agree with him being there and this isn't the first time something like this has happened at Cville U. Hoskins Avenue is owned by the city last time I checked...and the sidewalks are on the public right of way. That's where he moved to and they still made him move. And the kicker is he didn't preach anything that wasn't true. I can see where the University might be upset if someone was standing there promoting Satan. Here's the real question: Would C.U. have done the same thing if they'd had one of their faculty/staff who also is a minister in this fine town standing there doing the same exact thing? I doubt they would have.

They block them off as they see fit. I also believe these men where doing this for the wrong reasons and deliberatley where doing this to cause a problem and also think they should have been inviting them to a local church (maybe to hear him preach there). Regardless, Campus Security and our dear old Barney and friends policemen should not have lied about the sidewalk beside the road being private property.

Ma'm, a public street is any street which is maintained by the county or city or state, etc. Hoskins has ALWAYS been a public street. And Tiger Way has always been UNDERWOOD. Just because the university purchases all the property on both sides of the street does not make the street University property. I guess since the city built sidewalks for the Chinese students to walk on all the way out Meader Street, then Meader Street will become a University property, too? I am not being racist here, but I sure didn't realize the extent of the Chinese population at CU. Did you notice that during the video?

Barney and friend did exactly what Campbellsville University told them to do without checking with their own legal resources to see if they were correct in doing it. These cops (who have the lowest badge numbers available) should have known better. They even refused to listen to the preachers explanation. Who in the world left them in charge?

If they allow this, then they can't stop someone preaching devil worshipping. Think about that. Best they don't let anyone. The reason is have a lot of CHinese is because we let them go free here. Our kids could not go free in China, but enought of how stupid USA is with freebies for foreign students. Our kids can't afford to go to Campbellsville Univ.
