use to he would see you anytime you needed him to and it seemed like he really cared about the kids and he would open his office up on saturdays if you needed him too but now getting your kid in is like finding a needle in a haystack.

There are other Doctors. Why not consider switching to someone else?

Welcome to the real world of medicine! If you think this is bad, wait and see how it will be if Obama gets his way with "healthcare reform"!

Government is supposed to be by the people and for the people. Government has become corporate owned, just like the health care industry. Presidents such as the Bushs made that happen.

We need to get rid of political parties so those elected care about the people, not pleasing their parties and corporate sponsors. Maybe politicians should be required to wear shirts saying who they are sponsored by.

Oh really were your kids a true EMERGENCY (3 times)? This my friends it why most of us can not afford health insurance. I have 3 children and I have taken 1 of them to the ER 1 time. The ER is not the place to take your child for a head cold.

are you serious. are you really waisting your time complaing because you can't get into a dr office. first off. they are new. they are doing everything they can to get things up and running. i've taken my daughter there two times now and have had no problems. each was by appt of course, for her one month checkup. and the other before the one month was for her umbilical cord. for the umbilical cord we called of the morning and were in that afternoon. so why don't you try being honest here. they arent that bad. get a life

Those doctors drive down here from Louisville to serve this community. Believe it or not, they have families of their own back in Louisville that may like to see them, as well. It's not a perfect situation, but getting pediatricians to set up shop in a small town is not easy. I'm guessing the hospital found the best solution they could.

Well I agree with "Mad Mom." I had to wait 2 days to get my son in also and when we did get there we had to wait for hours! They gave me a big lecture on the phone about being on time or he wouldn't be seen and if we didn't cancel way ahead of time we would still be charged and then we get there 20 minutes BEFORE the appointment time with the paperwork completed before we came through the door and still had to sit there all morning! I know that they are new and all but I wasn't satisfied at all...AFTER finishing the medicine for 10 days he was still sick so I ended up taking him somewhere else only to find out that the medicine wasn't even strong enough for what he had. I switched doctors after that. The new people there don't hold a candle to the integrity and care for his patients that Dr. Winit had...and that is just my opinion!

Dr. Winit owned his own practice and he loved the children. These people now are just employees. It does make a difference, you know.

True...we had to wait for Dr. Winit but not like I had to after he was gone! They always got us in the same day some how and even when I called as soon as they opened it still was 2 days for an appointment! If I'm calling at 8am my child is sick enough to need a Dr. pretty soon not 48 hours later...again just my opinion! There will never be other Dr. like Dr. Winit.

Dr.Winit is going to be dearly missed. Who are some other good Dr's that are ready to take on some of the patient load? It may take some time before another Dr is willing to commit and excepted by this community.
