My husband has had 3 hip replacements his dr. Was out of Louisville and his was really painful fir him he says ur best bet is definitely go to a bigger area. To get the proper treatment done well I guess theirs a reason he had 3 done lol.

Bigger is not always better. I had a hip and a knee done at Flaget hospital in Bardstown. Dr. Mehta or Dr. Sewell are both great doctors, and Flaget is the best hospital I have ever been in, and I have worked at, and been a patient in, a lot of hospitals all over the US. My worst experience was at U of L.

Dr. Lessenberry is excellent at his job it is worth the drive to have him do the surgery and worth going to TJ Sampson Hospital for the surgery. If you live here in Campbellsville, we are talking about a 45 minute drive maybe.

Definitely Dr. Mehta in Bardstown. Also make sure he does rehab. My father did his at Life Care in Bardstown and was out in two weeks. Mehta is great!

I had my rehab there at Flaget. That was one of the reasons I had surgery there was that I live way out in the country and didn't want to have to travel for rehab. All the staff is great, and loved the private rooms.

Patients are made susceptible to complications not only by the surgical procedure itself, but also by how a surgeon may perform the operation, as well as faulty hip replacement devices. Prior to undergoing the procedure, it's best that you discuss with your doctor other possible options that may not involve surgery. You may also find helpful information at websites such as http://www.depuyhiprecall.us/what-do-i-do-now... about hip conditions and treatments.
