If the owner of this factory was not making $30,000,000 a year the hard working employees might have made a living wage. The taxpayer has been making the owner wealthy with this government contract, and the workers barely scrap by. As conservatives say we have to cut the deficit. So it's unfortunate that they must suffer after the fat cat has had all the cream and his greed has put them where they are.

Why do you think you should be paid more money? Do you think you should make the same as the people that own the company? This is the typical hourly wage jargon. You think you should be entitled to share in the profits but if the company takes a big loss all the peons run away fast and say "not my problem I just work here" If the company does not get a contract for a while and needs a few million to operate on until a new customer is found, how much of your paycheck are you going to give back to them?

Owners, plural then, if that makes you happy split that number between a hand full of people. Greed from the handful has come to an end. But the heck with it. The idea was to make a few wealthy and that was accomplished. As the Republican Newt Gingrich says about the poor and/or unemployed tell the to take a bath and get a job. After all the important hand full has been taken care of.

No but a living wage might have been nice for the people doing the real work at these hole in the wall factories. If you don't have a renewed contract I don't believe you would need millions to operate. Hilarious at the things poor people will come up with in their arguments for the wealthy who don't care who suffers because going in they know it's not going to be a long term place of employment. The goal is to make as much as you can and fill corporate bankruptcy. Walla it's done.

People like you are the reason this county has no real numbers in work force material. But to your question all I have to say is you show exactly what kind of family you come from. So you'll have to ask your parents about what you want to know about how they fell in love, it you know who your father is.

This is all part of the plan, folks. Believe what you will, but America WILL fall. That is the government plan. Bankrupt the USA, mess up the global markets, and introduce a new currency, a new way of buying and selling (Revelation 13). There is coming a day when if you don't bow down in worship to Lucifer and his worldly system, we won't be able to buy or sell. That day is fast approaching. It is Lucifer's eye on the back of the dollar bill (on the pyramid's capstone) and the "god" that the government is trusting in is not our great Yahweh, it is Lucifer, aka Satan. Money is the root of all kinds of evil.

As for our little town, it is discouraging day by day. I have two teenagers. I have encouraged them NOT to go to college to get a "professional" degree, but to learn a trade. Develop skills. This is part of the problem.

No one under 50 years old (including myself) knows how to DO anything. We are all being SERVED by the people who DO have the skills we don't. Imagine a world where there are no plumbers, no mechanics, no cooks, no restaurant cooks and servers, no heating and air maintenance workers, no janitors, no furniture makers, no car makers, no TV and cable or computer repair people. Imagine a world with no ethics and no respect for others. That is where we are headed.

Public schools, for the most part, do not teach practical living skills, and most students are not encouraged to learn a skill to make a living. Instead, most kids in school, when asked, want to be doctors, lawyers, nurses, pharmacy technicians, politicians, and probably, movie stars and singers. Why? Cause that's who's making the big money. That's who has the big houses and the fine cars and can afford to buy food and drinks for parties. These people join secret societies or good-ole-boy type clubs and automatically, after pledging an oath or signing a contract, they have signed away their souls to the devil, who will reward them with fortune, fame, popularity and all the worldly pleasures they want. Those who are "nobodies" of this world have to struggle. But in the end, what will forfeiting your soul get you?

As for the prison inmates, they are just getting USED. They are being given jobs that others in the community could have. Employment = self esteem, I know, right? And it does seem like throughout history, people of darker colors have been more willing to work hard versus the lily white "upperclass" society who cannot do for themselves. Ever notice there are fewer people of a darker color who are obese? Why is that?

Well, that's my rant for the day. This country as a nation is in big trouble. If it's bad economically in C-ville, you know it's bad elsewhere. This community is just an example, just a microsm of what is going on nationally.

To prison inmates at that. More jobs may be leaving town. Sad.
In the Lexington Herald-Leader:

By Roger Alford
FRANKFORT — Workers at a Campbellsville factory that makes T-shirts for U.S. soldiers won't have to fear losing their jobs to prisoners.

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday he has received notification that Federal Prison Industries won't bid on the military contract now held by Campbellsville Apparel Co.
"This is another great victory for Kentucky workers," McConnell said in a statement. "Federal Prison Industries did the right thing in backing away from their plan to take away jobs from hard-working Kentucky taxpayers and giving them to convicts."
Campbellsville Apparel president Chris Reynolds was the most recent Kentucky businessman to express fears that Federal Prison Industries might take over the military contract that his firm has held for the past decade.

Reynolds said it's difficult for private companies to compete for contracts with the Federal Prison Industries, which pays inmates from 23 cents to $1.15 an hour.

McConnell intervened on behalf of the Campbellsville plant and an Olive Hill company that makes Air Force windbreakers, calling on Federal Prison Industries to back off.

Federal Prison Industries previously announced it wouldn't bid for the Air Force windbreaker contract, citing a "potential adverse impact" on the small northeastern Kentucky city where they're made. That same rationale would hold true for Campbellsville. Both communities have been dealing with high unemployment.
Bureau of Prisons spokesman Chris Burke confirmed Monday that Federal Prison Industries wouldn't seek the T-shirt contract.
