Amazon warehouse jobs push workers to physical limit

Amazon.com strives to be increasingly efficient to ship customers' orders as quickly as possible from its fulfillment centers around the world. And while the company has a safety record better than most, some warehouse employees say the relentless drive to boost production wears them down and costs them their jobs.

the place is not meant for long time work, that's for sure, physical or mental. They burn through managers and ops like paper doused with gasoline. Change is good to a certain point, then it just becomes a burden on a company, stability in management would reduce the stress of the little people. I worked under around 60 managers in my 12 years, that's just sad.

Amazon was the absolute worst place I ever worked.....they should have titled the article "Modern Day Slavery for Sale at Amazon.com ". The turn and burn philosophy of hourly and salaried employees is a reflection of how Corporations were ran in the early 1900's. Beat down your employees; overworked, underpaid, and a constant threat of being let go. It's all about the bottom line. And it's not just Campbellsville, it's all of the other small towns that have distribution centers. The Sr. Leaders set in Seattle making money hand over fist with stock options and huge bonuses all off the sore backs and hard work by the associates on the floor. The scare tactics and constant turnover at the warehouses is a prime reason why no sites have been unionized. It's certainly not because of care for employees or community. And on the opposite end of the business spectrum, they bully suppliers and vendors with the same approach.

If the customers of Amazon truly knew how poorly associates are treated and the harsh working conditions (physical and mental) they had to endure, I'm sure there would be reconsideration of where to shop. Kudos to those of you whom have survived.

I've been there a long time and seen alot of changes in this place since I was hired. More changes for the worse than good. It is nothing more than a sweat shop and legally slavery. I am out of there first opportunity I have if they dont move to Jeffersonville first. Tired of the lies and promises and not being able to do enough to please them.

Sounds to me like you're the one with their nose stuck in where it doesn't belong. I work there, so it IS my business, thank you clueless one. I know it's not the ideal place for a career, but I agree with those who say it pays the bills and puts food on the table. You may be one of those who sit around and let the Big Brother Government take care of you, but I have more self-respect and worth than that.

So sad seeing people who lack work ethic and positive attitude. Don't like the work you're doing? Quit.

Yeah thats the way, continue to pep-talk yourself that you work at a Job worth having!
When you finally get out of the Zon state of mind-control clinging to a Job that will only exploit you & always keep you & your family POOR.
You are just freaking Sad & everyone like you that vainly takes up for that redneck hellhold!
