17 Lawsuits leveled against Amazon for unfair treatment of its employees, firings without justification.Making employees do jobs that they've told their A.M.s they don't feel they can safely do.After you've gotten ol authur and deterioration of bones in your knees, legs, feet and back, just waiting for the bones to shatter,or a knee or hip gives out.Walking on all that concrete day in and day out,it tears the joints down.I felt good till I started walking on that concrete. At Fruit most all jobs were sit down sewing jobs. Its causing many of the disabilities your seeing in people who work at Amazon.

Hope the people have good lawyers and get something. I'm surprised this doesn't happen more with the way they treat people, no class at all in there.

If there are any, which I don't find anywhere on the web, it is probably those idiots who "played the points game" and lost. There were a bunch of those.

i agree it is all the temps and ones that have been fired for either not showing up for work or the one's who are drunks or druggies that have been tested and got caught for it.not excluding all the sleeping around and smoking dope out on the parking lot at lunch or coming to work drunk.need to clean house once and for all.this place has gotten worse over the years i have been here.but look at who's doing the hiring staff and they are not testing people or doing their job like they should be.or this would not be as bad as it is.take out the trash and things start to smell better

I would have to disagree with the fact that the lawsuits would have to be from only people that worked through Staff or were ones who pointed out because they were not good workers...I know there are a lot of people that played the point system there but I do know there were a lot of people that honestly slaved for them and loved their jobs but had some unfortunate absences that were out of their control and ended up pointing out or were fired after being on a medical leave or weren't approved for a necessary medical leave. Amazon is unaffair when it comes to making descisions on who should get a medical leave or what should be excused.

yes but what about the managers that have taken points off for some of the temps that had missed a day and were late as well another time just to keep them here because it was a drunk buddy or smoke buddy,or someone they just wanted to screw and i know for a fact that they did one gray headed guy because he bragged about it to someone.and he still here trying to get full time and i've smelled the alcohol on him and they just fired one guy for that but they ain't tested him yet why is that??and i am not the only one who has notice this trend going on now for sometime

You are soooo right. It all depends on who you are buddies with. SM managers give breaks to certain temps who become "buddies or partners" with Amazon managers or also some cases where Staff managers become sex partners with Amazon managers then Amazon manager takes care of the Staff managers buddies with special treatment. This is actually happening as we speak. Are there no conflict of interest rules or policies at this place?????? All just a big political mess that gets worse every year. It's much worse now than ever.

perhaps that's why unions can be an advantage?..fair days pay for a fair days work.

Anyhow I'm sure they will move off shore once the subsidies run out...so you won't have a job let alone anything to complain about...problem solved

AND...what does this prove?
The first one is nothing to do with law suits, your web page says this...

If Amazon is Santa, 400 folks living in RVs outside the Coffeyville, Kansas fulfillment center this winter are the elves.

looking up the second one now.

ok the 2nd link was about rounding time.(7 min before and after shift) from some nutcase in fernley.

that one was dismissed because it is the norm for large businesses to use, and legal, otherwise you'll have your lollygaggers and early punchers eating up overtime by standing around at the clock or hiding in the shadows to make that extra buck. not to mention, I'd sure hate to wait in that line to be "on the dot" with 100 other people.

So... where are these 17 lawsuits about unfair dismissal posted?

I am a current Amazon employee. I am not a temp (been there, done that, got the blue badge), I am not a druggie or slouch. In fact, I recently graduated from the University of Kentucky (attending school full-time during the day and working ten hours a night) with a gpa of 3.7. I don't appreciate the snide remarks from the flunkies. I am currently seeking other employment that would follow my field of study, but until then, I need a job and jobs are scarce and this is exactly what Amazon.com preys on.
I used to job for exercise with no problems until I started working for Amazon. Now I suffer from fasciitis, a bone spur, a cracked elbow and a knee that feels like it is out of socket when I walk. Amazon employees are forced to work at unsafe and unhealthy rates of speed in grueling heat. They employ illegal aliens and they cheat people out of their personal break time.
There is documentation of many safety violations and inhumane treatment. Osha has been notified. We will see where it goes from there.
To all you people who just get on here to bash each other, I beg you to please use another venue. This truly needs to be a place where Amazon employees can rally together to fair and humane treatment. If you are an Amazon employee, you know what I am talking about. If you are not, you could not imagine what this company is currently getting away with. It is a sweatshop... a glorified sweatshop.. the only difference is that they have yet to employ eight year olds... at least in KY. Who knows who they have working for them over seas.
Let me please clarify that I do NOT discriminate or mean anything in a derogatory way when I speak of illegal aliens. These people are being subjected to inhumane and unsafe conditions also regardless to whether they have a green card or not... and they are my friends.
