Animal shelter is way down on their list of things they have been bothered to keep track of. Look at the photos of the animals up for adoption. Now look again...not at the animals, but at the surroundings. Look at the peeling paint, look at the rusty metal, look at the floors.
See the pretty little dog beds? Those weren't bought with public funds, private people have been donating money to buy these to get the dogs off the cold and nasty floor. Private groups have been getting the animals from the shelter to keep them from being "euthanized" (KILLED BY THE POUND). Now the private people are banned from helping.

I have an idea...instead of euthanizing dogs lets just let them all run wild throughout the city adn county.

This was before all the nutjobs and whacko's showed up. You can't blame county officials for barring them from the shelter. They are only there to cause trouble. Many of these stooges don't even live around here. They swarm in and start ranting about how bad things are with the shelter, then post bogus pictures on a website in order to get donations to save dogs and cats. Then collect the money and run. Just another way to scam people.

The shelter was running just fine till the crazy people showed up. A small group of idiots that can't take care of themselves much less an animal. Eddie did the right thing when he kicked them out. Maybe now they will go to some other county and harass them.

No one is kicked out. The community as a whole will not have access. There is nothing wrong with helping animals or getting access to records showing how taxes are spent. Its stupid that a community doesn't care about their money.

But the people do care about their money. When we have to use tax money to fight off frivolous lawsuits made by morons it makes the people paying taxes a bit angry. If you really want to help the animals simply start your own rescue and in a very short time you will have all the dogs and cats you can handle. Then the county can put you under the magnifying glass. BTW, yes you and all the other crazy people were kicked out. Do not pass go and do collect 200 dollars

Nope. I have never been asked to leave the shelter. Ever. The lawyer is working on her own free will. Not repping anyone. Sorry you are confused.

LOL no, you are the one that has mush for brains. The shelter will be closed to the public. This even includes the simple minded such as yourself. So that means you and your loonies were kicked out. The taxpayers really don't care who pays your legal fees. They do care about who pays the legal and clerk fees for the county. You people need to take up fishing or something to occupy your time. The city and county are tired of baby sitting you. Get off the welfare and foodstamps. Try to become a productive citizen that pays taxes. Perhaps then you won't be so quick to spend money needlessly .

Won't the taxpayers be pissed to be paying for the "shelter" to be up and running, but have no access to the animals? And they have animal lovers to blame?

So, are they really going to be housing and feeding and transporting these animals to other counties like they say? It seems really hard to believe that will be so much cheaper, especially since they won't be making $100 for every adoption anymore...

If they are doing the right thing for the animals and everything is being done above board and legal why do they care if the public comes in the shelter? It's funded with tax money and we should be able to see all records. A simple monthly print out of what's received and what's spent out shouldn't be a hard task. It's time the whole bunch is fired and removed from office.

The problem isnt asking for records. The problem is asking for the same records over and over and over. The loons have harassed the animal shelter workers far worse than the animals were ever treated. Mark my words, the spca will make a play to take over the animal shelter and ask the the city/county to pay them. That is what their goal is. Trust me.

Spending $300,000+ on animals is the biggest govt waist ever. Put a bullet in them and save the tax dollars.
