Can anyone tell me about the history of Sulphur OR about the old high school? If not where can I get that info? I heard that it used to be a booming railroad town, complete with a college, livery, and a large population. I also heard it was destroyed by a train on fire. Is this true? I live in pendleton and I go through the small town alot, and am very curious about it, especially the old school. Please contact email me at rhyan1@aol.com. Thank you

Hey it was a great school and very happening town once upon a time it had a pool hall and a country store own my Nina and Joe Foree which are my kin folks alot of my family was born and raised in sulphur I myself live 3 miles from sulphur I hope to see Sulphur happening again. My mom told me they had to walk to school and there is a set oof stairs on the side of the hill they had to walk up this our very steep stairs very dangerous looking but i guess if you had to walk for miles to school I guess a dangerous flight of stairs would not kill you I like to see kids these days walk miles to school and walk up those steep stairs they'd have a heart attack.

I'm the insurance adjuster who is investigating the fire to the old school. If anyone can share some information with me about the old school I would really appreciate it.
