James Ambers Walters had been a life time register on the sexual offender registery since 1990s. Why has he been allowed to walk the streets since charged with rape and incest in 2005. What good is the sexual offender registery if the law allows them to continue to walk the streets.

I think shipping them off to an island is a great idea! I know it's not the "law" but it would make the world a much safer place. I don't believe in second chances for those kind of offenses.

I think it would be a good idea to pass a law that requires any judge or parole board who releases one of these monsters,to be charged with any crimes an offender commit's after being released from prison. Maybe then the system would not be so quick to let these perverts out!

Actually, you'd be surprised the number of sex offenders who actually serve out their sentence. Very rarely are they granted Parole. Even once they've served out, they still have to serve a period of conditional discharge which is supervised for five years afterwards. It's pretty dumb to say that the Parole Board should have to be charged with any subsequent crimes in which they commit. Everything starts in a local Circuit Court, the Commonwealth's Attorney & Judge to determine if a sentence is appropriate or not for the crime, if it's a plea agreement; otherwise, it's up to a JURY. The Parole Board cannot reverse a sentence that has been given in either a plea or in a conviction by Jury Trial. The Parole Board, per Kentucky Statute see the Offender when they are Parole eligible, and they have to have completed treatment. The Parole Board only releases those who ARE given early release if they have justifiable cause in which NOT to keep the Offender in once Parole Eligible. Others serve out their time. That's the way the LAW is set up in Kentucky, so why would members of the Parole Board or anyone else for that matter be punished for doing what the state law reads in terms of sex offender guidelines? Perhaps if people lobbied for their beliefs rather than discuss it on a forum, more would be done in this area to reform those laws that people see to not be fit for the crime.
It is very dumb to let one of these creature's out after they have done such deeds as they do,It is an expensive price to pay to see if they will repeat or not, it is only a child's life or in some cases children's live's at stake.

AS FOR YOUR COMMENT LIL MISS SOCIAL BUTTERFLY...
OF 'CUTTING IT OFF AND PUTTING IT IN A JAR'--- WOW!!! I love how you automatically ONLY addressed MALE SEXUAL OFFENDERS in this comment. IGNORANCE RAISES ITS UGLY HEAD AND LENDS ITSELF TO US ONCE AGAIN: REMEMBER THERE ARE ALSO FEMALE SEX OFFENDERS, MORE SO THAN YOU REALIZE. Many of them will actually sit and comfort the victim as the crime is actually occuring. Some of them are the straight up initiators of the sexual offense as well. This proves my theory SOCIALBUTTERFLY THAT YOU AMONGST SO MANY OTHERS IN THIS TOWN, ON THIS FORUM, ETC. FORM 'YOUR' OPINIONS AND BELIEFS MORESO ON MERE STEREOTYPES AND WHAT YOU'VE HEARD OTHERS SAY RATHER THAN FACTS, STUDIES OR EXPERIENCE. WHILE MALE SEX OFFENDERS ARE MORE COMMONLY HEARD OF BUT THERE ARE FEMALE SEX OFFENDERS AS WELL.
Secondly, you don't really so much disappoint me, because nothing really seems to any more, BUT for someone who speaks so HIGHLY of her 'Christianity' and defends her FAITH so eloquently in other posts, shall I REMIND YOU of a Bible story you may have forgotten...remember the Adultress in the Bible, who were all stating that the punishment for such an act was to be stoned? And when brought before Jesus he said that THOSE WITHOUT SIN SHALL CAST THE FIRST STONE....Look, I'm not one to come on here preaching or quoting Scripture or come off as some in your face Bible thumper, but even those out there that do not so much believe in or follow religion can still apply that concept to their lives. I FOR ONE happen TO BELIEVE in the principles of which are taught in the Bible but I WILL ALSO BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT I FAIL MISERABLY DAILY, I do not get on here and JUDGE OTHERS and say such things as "JUSTICE WOULDNT EVEN BE SERVED AT THAT THOUGH." I don't know Social Butterfly, but last time I checked the ONLY one to have complete and total JUSTICE for our wrongdoings is NOT the criminal justice system completely, but GOD. And in His eyes, all of our sin is EQUAL. Look it up. I am NOT a FAN of those who APPEAR (and I say appear only because I don't know you personally and will NOT judge someone even if I DO know them personally...) BUT IT APPEARS a tad bit hypocritical to me in comparison to some of your other posts in this forum. Enough said.
i say we should cast the first foot in their asses everytime they step out anywhere

Personally i think that whoever commits such a crime as sexual abuse, rape, or whatever...should automatically get the death penalty, cause the victim has to live with it for the rest of their lives, they take away their innocence and their future. Some victims can move past with therapy, but never fully recover and still fear the sex of the subject that did it to them. So if the selfish b@st@rds take this away from their victim...they should be put through the same, or be put to death! SUCK INDIVIDUALS do this...and they dont ever need to be in public ever again!

I know of a man that molested a 3 year old, served 6 years and was only on the offender register for 5 years once he got out. Last I heard he was attending a church and assisting with teaching sunday school classes! I informed a couple diffrent people at the church that he was a sex offender but he is still there helping out. Im not at all sating he shouldnt be allowed at the church but theres no way he should be helping out with the sunday school classes.

I think that anyone who commits a crime such as murder, DUI that results in someone getting killed (my family has lived through this),and sex offenders should be put to death. An eye for an eye is what I say. If you don't want to give the sex offenders the death penalty, fine- -at least put them away for the rest of their lives. Most offenders are REPEAT OFFENDERS. They don't just do this once. As far as the comment about the government not being able to pay to incarcerate all these people forever- -I'd rather see my tax dollars going toward keeping someone bad behind bars as opposed to my tax dollars padding the pockets of the people in office and going toward welfare for people who have a million kids and just don't want to work.

)...so don't be so quick to assume that there's ONE stereotype. NOW with that being said, I have no clue if you have a brother or anything, and if you don't imagine you do. And lets say, when he was 20 years old, he met this girl, they have sexual chemistry and they hook up. Let's say the girl was 13 years old, and the sex was consensual but she DID NOT look as though she was only 13 and she did NOT tell the truth about her age...do you mean to tell me that once he's hit with Rape charges, convicted, now deemed a sexual offender, spends time in prison, has to sign up on the lifetime sex offender registry and ALL of that. You wanna go ahead and say that he deserves the death penalty too? Because you definitely said ALL the selfish b's should....he's still considered a 'sex offender' even though to most the 'crime' doesn't seem to be 'as bad'.
And you hit on a good point when you said that they should all go through the same or worse....most of them have been through those things, doesn't make it right or justifiable but often they become the victimizer rather than being the victim any longer and powerless.
NO i dont have a brother, but you can clearly tell any 13 yr old from an 18 yr old...if you are around them for 10 minutes you can tell it...so dont give me that...BUT if that were to happen...THEN NO, i dont think they should have to register as anything, because they were "supposedly" tricked. If they can prove that they were tricked then smack em on the hand and tell them DATE CHICS YOUR OWN AGE! hahahaa anyways I also think that lil girls who do this to someone, should be sent off for some counseling...or have their legs tied together...Not like that will happen...but one can hope right?

Mel, please think before you "sound off". You contridict yourself in the worst way....you would know a 13 year old from an 18 year old in 10 minutes, but yet would to place the blame of a sexual offense on the 13 year old child....doesn't wash. Preditory animals male or female hunt where they know their prey of choice can be found.

You are disguisting individual if you are married to a sex offender that committed such an act on a child. How can you let a man touch you that has done this to a child? How could you lay in bed with a man such as this? How could you trust him around your children (if you have any)? You are just as bad off as he is considering you are married to him. YUCK!!!

I am gonna have to agree i do not understand, but like the women in that church in texas that let their little girls be taken by older men, some even their own father, what is in the minds of these women how do they justify this in their own mind.do they need a man so bad they'd sell out their babies so as not to be alone?they are as sick as the man, there is no excuse.any child molester will tell you they can't quit even if they want to;forgive him if you need to,but for your childrens sake, get them away from him,or give them up and hope they are lucky enough to find a home with a good mother and father.you do not have the right to forgive at your kids expence.after they are grown if you still want him you would have it but not while your children are helpless[this is to the wife of the child molester]

I have thought about the sex offender registry.

If they are so dangerous (and I believe they are),that they have to register on a sex offender list and can't live around any schools, then what are they doing being released???

nothing gets done to sexoffenders anymore trust me i know!!! I was sexually assaulted my self had a rapekit done went to the police even went befor the grand jury and guess what that has been in november and i still have not got a call back on a hearing or a decision or anything so i have lost faith in the police system for sex offenders!!!! I have a daughter and the thought that something like this could someday happen to her and knowing how the justice system works scares the hell out of me!!! I wish that congress would get off their political asses and do something about things like this!!!! The system is only here to make certain people look good!!!

that one is easy.they are sentenced to a certain period of time when that time is up it is the law, they have to release them.they can't lock people up on the theory that they may be dangerous and might do it again.i do think, that instead of filling up the jails and prisons with non violent offenses, such as drug use, ect.they ought to make laws stricter for child molesters, after the second offense, they ought to be locked up for good, but even that might be too little.most of the time they don't kill until they are locked up once, next time to keep from going back a lot begin to kill them,so as not to have a witness, first time offenders hardly ever kill, they only start after they've been imprissoned for it.scary, you bet.

God forgives all sin even men or women that have this problem, but if they realize their wrong doing on someone and ask god for his forgivness and is truly remorsful, then its not my place to judge its gods and no Im not sick, I dont have those desires and no I dont need a man that bad I believe god put me with him for a reason, maybe to help him through his illness, but I do know a different side to him and its not bad...yes he and I both agree he needs help and is getting it and I believe with gods help and good counseling he will be a better productive person and then maybe he can because of his experiences go out and help others that has this problem and even stop it if each of us help each other then I can see hope for the future that it wont happen as much...as for me having children...he has certain rules to live by so therefore everything is watched closely, but my son loves him dearly and also forgave him we all know that his mind wasnt in a good place that day, but we also know he turned himself in and knew he did wrong and didnt want to anymore...and for that there is hope...the key is to help everyone no matter if they are willing for the help then Im willing to help and when I die and stand before god I honestly believe god will give praise to me for that quaility because that is something he has been telling the human race for eternity...read the bible and you will understand...god is the answer to it all...I will not turn any child over to him because I love him no that will never happen...that is sick...when you pray and ask god about life he answered...and god would never tell anyone to do anything sick like that...god is the only one who has the right to judge anyone...not me and I wont....

im sorry but i have NO REMORSE WHAT SO EVER for these people...have you been sexually assaulted your self? Let me tell you it is degrading and so many other things that i cant put into words i can never find the words to truly explain how i feel about being assaulted, my body was violated against my will no means no! And to have to share this emabarassing degrading experience with people you dont even know so you can try to have something done about it and having to lie on a hospital table while a nurse you may or may not know does a rape kit on you having to pull your pubic hair out to have tests ran on it and samples taken from parts of your body that are meant to be sacred to you and who you decide to share it with and to have someone take that from you and go through all of that only to have NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT let me just explain how HORRIBLE THAT IS and i hope your husband replays what he done to whoever he done it to in his head every minute of every day and his guts turn from the thought of violating someone in that way!!!! Yes god does forgive and mabey someday the victims can but let me tell you honey for the victim sometimes intimacy is a HUGE PROBLEM for them they hardly ever love the same way or trust!!! I hope that you find comfort in being married to a sexual predetor and having your son around him you are more of a woman than i will ever be i guess...but no crime goes unpunished i am a firm believer in KARMA what comes around goes around!!!
