I don't think it is fair that some people in this town draw a disability check but yet go work for cash like there is nothing wrong with them. What do you people think about this?

Well I think that if you are to disabled to work then you shouldn't be working at all. If you can work then you can work. No if, ands, or buts about it. If you can go work for cash under the table and do other duties then you can stop cheating the government and get a real job like the rest of us and roport it. I am so tired of working my ass off for people that are cheating the government. If you aren't able to work at all and you need it, that is one thing but I don't want to see your ass out here doing hard labor when you are suppose to have a hurt back.

sounds like you got a problem.
And no I do not draw a check. I work for a living.
But to the people that draw social security...that is already there money that they worked and paid in. Not out of your pocket. Your working your ass off for your family and taxes to the government. Do you actually think that people see what we pay in? F*ck no.

My problem is like I said, if you need it that is one thing but if you don't then that is another. Besides, for example, how can someone start drawing a check when they were 20 and now they are 30? Do you actually think that they paid in 10yrs worth of social security. I don't F*ckin think so. But yet you can see them out doing everything else besides work.

Someone, you are not going to win this battle. Most of the people who utilize this web-site are white trash and getting a check. However, I do agree with you. The welfare system is set up in a way that allows able-bodied people who don't want to work an avenue to take advantage of the system.

"someone" is right. P & Moan club, you are mistaken, it is not all their money. This is the reason that Social Security is nearly bankrupt. People may have worked and paid in from their 20's to their 30's but if they become disabled, then ten years of work will not equate 40 plus years of disability income. This happened with a lot of Senior Citizens when Social Security was first established. Many drew for many years drawing much more than was ever paid in and many times a husband will leave a widow to draw their check, so you are looking at an unequal balance. So, to repeat, it is not ALL their money. If I'm working everyday, it's my money taking care of them. And, there is a possibility that it won't be there when I'm ready for it.

It is a huge mess and unless there are better checking systems in place on the people drawing these checks it will continue to go on. People nowadays think that they are entitled to something for nothing. Don't understand this line of thinking but it is abundant around in this area.

Let me get this right you draw a disability check because you can't work so why would you be working for cash. because if you can work for cash on the side you can make a living without drawing a check so da you can work????? Sorry I have a man if he can work physically he better be getting his butt out and work and if not I would kick him to the curve I have no respect for a man who is lazy and lives off the system and me I get out and work he can too..

You are dead wrong.

You are tired of working. Oh my...

I have a hurt back. I don't qualify.

I work hard. Sometimes I am laid up on the couch in SEARING CRAZY, KILL YOU pain.

This is what I do. I have since I was 14 years of age. Sometimes I can work sometimes I cant. then my kids are supposed to go hungry?

Instead, I will, one day qualify for benefits. My doctor says that the way my back is, that there is no doubt.

But if I start getting paid, and I CAN work for a few months and NOT get paid from the government (MY INSURANCE to which I have paid for YEARS) then they will disqualify me and make me start all over in this many year process of proving my disability.

So of course I will not threaten my sure money for maybe sometimes money... I would be a fool to....

So yes the system is wrong, but not for letting me work when I can, but for penalizing me for doing so.

You people with small minds are the REALLY lazy ones. Try to understand instead of ranting against that which you do understand. if you can't then you are the white trash!!!!

I paid in for 40 years of hard labor and now I am damaged.... I paid in. the politicians spent it.... what would you have me do????

ugh.......... you make me so angry!!!!!!!!!!

Is that what you want? A bunch of hurting, angry people? Then you are the stupid ones.....

I understand people getting a check if they are disabled, but what about all the younger people who have never worked a day in there lifes, but are getting a check bc they are "crazy".Who's money are they getting? I know a girl right now getting a check, she is 23, has been getting a check since she was 16. There is absolutly nothing wrong with her, except the fact her mother wont let her grow up!!!! So now she will be getting a check for the rest of her life, perfectly able to live alone and get a JOB.

There are 2 kinds of disability, you can draw off what you have paid in, if you haven't paid in, you draw a different class of disability, like a welfare disability.....

There are some upstanding citizens who have their whole family on a check. Various medical problems but still able to work.
