DO NOT go to this place, they will rip you off. They will tell you that your gold item is not what it really is. I took a couple of 14K items to them and the girl there scarred them up with her file and then told me that it was 10K instead of 14K. The items are stamped 14K and are items from Isreal which i took somewhere else and they laughed when i told them what happened at Gold Gram Next to Hong Kong's on main. The chick also looked at a medallion i had and i knew it was hollow but it is stamped 417 because it is 10K gold from Mexico. SHe didnt even want to see it because she said in her own words " they dont take them because they have air inside" JAJAJAJAJAJA! The item is 10K and she has a scale to weight it so...WHATS THE PROBLEM???? The scale would weight the air. Oh it might be Mexican Air......

the hollow medallions usually accumulate green subtance inside therefore might weigh more then it actually does so most places dont accept them...and not all gold is usually good gold...

Thats good information, better than "its got air inside". What i dont understand is the items were stamped 14K and 417. These are put there by the jewelers, why do they question them, well their offer is an offer and does not have to be taken, shop around before you sell for best price. This place is not best price, thats for sure. Thanks again for good info!

its always best to weigh it out yourself so you wont get jibbed the pawn shop doesnt give you the best deals but you can always get it back if you want i have a friend who works there and he gives me the most i can get when ever i need extra cash before payday..

I've been there before and they always show me how much it weighs and explain to me why a lot of times it reads 14k when its a 10k. Doesn't mean because it says 14 or 10 etc, means it is. Why is that a lot of jewelry reads 14k and it turns green? Yeah they probably didnt give you what you wanted for your worthless POS.

I was there also last week and they are ripoffs. Dont really know what shes doing, she tries to act like she does but is way off. All jewelry i have had has markings and are what they say, maybe you get yours from this place thats why it turns green.
just wondering

How is it a ripoff? They offer you a price and you either take it or leave it. And second of all you get ripped off from jewelry stores ALL the time. Gold can only go for so much, I don't understand why you think you're going to get what you paid at the store.
