My truck was broken into and my camera was stolen. You can keep the camera, but please return the memory card. All of my memories are on the card and can't be replaced. Leave it at the get n go or somewhere that I will find it. Thanks

I wish this town would jes clean up and get rid of all the worthless people causing so much trouble, I loved living there but the way things r now, visiting once a year is about all I can take its a very peaceful and secluded place but somebody needs to take control and stop all the bs going on.i don't guess having one cop around though does any good, it's ashame because I have a little boy who loves it there but until all the lil theifs and drug dealer are taking care of I could never see me raising him there, what can be done to stop all of this?

Has anyone reported that not one but MULTIPLE breakins have gone on in town? If so, how come we don't have more cops patrolling?

It dont matter how many people report it cause real county does not have enough deputies to patrol camp wood, they all stay in leakey and really dont give a crap about cw.

Maybe everybody from CampWood should go up to Leakey and protest outside the Sheriff's office...

Utopia, TX

#9 Feb 10, 2012
that's so true.. what has cw become.

Leakey, TX

#10 Feb 10, 2012
How about complaining to the county commissioners or the county judge to hire more deputys for cw

Camp Wood, TX

That is true! They don't really care about camp wood. How many cops do u actually see here? How many cops do u see in Leakey? Something needs to be done. Too much goes on in camp wood for being such a small town, same as Leakey and rocksprings but still! We need more cops

We don't need more police officers in Camp Wood...
We are a small community and one deputy and a constable are plenty... What we do need is for the ones we have to do their job.

I've heard the same, but hard to find out the truth from the bs in this town

There isn't drug dealers. Just alot of trashy users helping the outside drug dealers. The so called dealers in camp wood are about as much of a real dealer as a cop in campwood is as much of a real cop. 65% of camp wood are drug addicts. Lovely community

65% is kinda high - i don't do drugs! maybe 65% losers! but not druggies

Well I agree with almost everyone's opinion it needs something done and fast I bet that if everyone raises enough hell something will get done if not guess we just have to start taking things into our own hands helping one another out and get rid of all the drug dealing theifs

I can relate. When I got in trouble and was sent to prison, everything I had worked years to buy was stolen. The difference was, I figured that it was my own fault for doing the wrong thing. Had I been here, it wouldn't have happened.

My point is, look at what has happened to our community. I would never dream of stealing something that someone had worked to get. Whether it was for their family or to resale is irrelevant, it was not mine. We never even locked our doors when I was growing up here.

We have to get back to being a community, and not just a collection of homes. That means looking out for each other. If thieves know that they will be reported, they will stop.

Since I am a convicted felon, my opinion may not matter, but this is how I feel. I am deeply saddened by the things happening to our town. I love this place, and believe it or not, I try to help everyone I can. It just isn't enough for a few people to do this... we have to come together as a community, and say, "Enough is enough"!

God's blessings to all,

I think we need to take matters into our own hands and do all we can within the law to catch these little shits! Band together, watch eachothers backs. In the real world they have "Neighborhood Watch". Don't have to like your neighbor or hang out and have block parties or nothin'. Simple and effective. know yr neighbors name and phn #. And give heads up on leaving yr house for long periods or short trips. It doesn't take a whole lot of time or energy to just be concerned about things and feel safe in yr own homes. My car was hit twice. Once at a friends house. And again in my own driveway along with my husbands pick-up! I'd just like to point out that the bastards either live on this side of town or hang out with their bastard buddies on this side! If you follow the occurances by date he's made his rounds up and down all our streets. Lucky for me there was nothing in my car worth stealing and he isn't brave enough to steal bank cards or the actual car itself. I have really gotten too comfy thinking my unlocked car with key in the ignition was safe in this town. Bet your ass it's locked ALL THE TIME now! They just rummaged through everything and stole all my loose change...which to me screams "young punk"! My husband wasn't so lucky. He's missing a $700 hundred dollar Bow and is not happy camper! I pray he never actually catches them in the act or finds out who they are. He does not say very nice things about that moment. I've even thought about hiding out somewhere undetected and waiting for them to try agin on a baited, to good to be true, theft and get some pictures or film of them. If the cops wont do the investigating then we'll just throw the proof at 'em and they can finish with the easy part. Something can be done about this and we don't need cops to do it. Know the law and what u can do, share the info with anyone who wants to help and do it yourself. I think if we all pitch in where we can and have communication and a good plan laid out we could catch him or them in no time at all. I'm in.
