And to think. Thats the problem you want to rent it out, jack the price so we pay for your house for you. If we could afford that why would we be renting. If I could afford the rent on your place why not get a place like that myself. We rent cause we cant afford that high. I can do 800. But what kinda house am I gonna have with that kinda money. I'm nit putting my son up in a dump thats for sure.

It depends on the age, the footage, if it comes with land or not. I understand the cost of living is going up, along with taxes. but the owners arnt thinking about peoples income is still the same. I called on a house. They wanted 1800 for a 1800sf house. Thats insane. Alot of homeowners couldn't afford their house when the economy went down. So they started renting their house, jacked up the rent so someone else could pay there house off.

So basically you think landlords should rent their houses to you out of the goodness of their hearts? Are you stupid? People own rent houses to have income or to have investments. If I rent my house to you for 800, I'd still have to come up with $300 out of my own pocket to meet the payments. Where is the logic in that?
And to the person who said rent is too high and that people's incomes are the same, if you haven't noticed, rentals don't last long here. Even though it might be out of your price range, there are plenty of people who can afford it who will snatch it up right away.

Rent is not supposed to be cheaper than owning a house. Rent is for other benefits like not having upkeep and repairs on a home. It's for people whose jobs might require them to transfer frequently. The days of cheap rent around here are gone.

First of all you wanna talk shit you can do it to my face. I will be glad to give you my name and number. rent is not supposed to be more then owning a house. Rent is for people who cant afford to own a house. So I guess all the people in the apartment complex's are here cause their jobs moved them to Uvalde lmfao.your not even making sense. You said you charge the renters for upkeep and repairs on the house. For the property taxes and for insurance. Now your saying renting is so you don't have those? Most people that rent out houses already own the house. And if you already own the house it is income.

Obviously, we come from very different backgrounds. You want me to believe that rent is only for poor people and that's simply not true. Why do you suppose many of the BP agents here rent? Are you confusing Section 8 with regular rent?

The people I know who rent, do so because they don't know how long they will be living here and don't want to buy a house only to have to sell it months later. Have you considered that people who live in apartment complexes live there so they don't have to do yard maintenance or home repairs? For some people, that is a major hassle.

But good luck finding a nice house for $800 :)

This is ridiculous, I am a home owner as well. My mortgage is about $700 a month taxes included in the Dalton area. Although, I do agree that some landlords prices are ridiculously over priced; I still would not lower my rent so that you can have my house cheap. At you stupid? I may as well key you live there for free and furnish it while I was at it. You want better earn better. I busted my ass to have what I have and I grew up poor. You need to stop looking for a handout everywhere you go. The world doesn't owe you a thing.

Reading some of these posts makes me think that a whole lot of people are really freaking morons! A $300 a month 2-bedroom house? What fantasy land are y'all from? Obama-land? The last time I paid ANYWHERE near $300 rent was in the 90's!!! Instead of griping about the oil field why not go work there so you can afford a normal $1000 a month house? Grow up, morons! Go cry to your Obama NOW!!!

Last 2 posts, this isnt a forum about how much you pay for rent. It was people looking for rentals for cheap, but thanks for chiming in anyway, genius. Truth be told, y'all are probably getting some kind of "assistance" anyway- but doubt if you'll ever admit it but rather argue how you don't. Yea, right!!!

Wtf, others are posting about taxes and what not. Was trying to make a point. I don't get assistance. Not everyone has a high paying job work is hard to find . Me and my wife both work hard to make ends meet. My kids
need clothing, food, etc... Rent has gone way up I'm happy to pay where I am . These people looking for homes for rent are probably normal hard working families whom can't afford 1,500 _ 2,000 rent. I know I can't maybe in a big city.
