We're scheduled to have the services installed at our home on Monday Sept. 15th in Maumelle Valley Estates. We're already on ATT DSL and use their local/long distance phone service. Currently we're with Directv for TV but the programming available with ATT U-verse sounds great and it's an added bonus to have all these features bundled together on one bill. The cost is actually going to come out about the same for us but we'll get more programming with U-verse as well as an internet upgrade to broadband.

that's awesome it's available. i worked for the uverse team in houston. it is a great service...as long as it works. since it is SO new, they had issues with it at first (just like any new technology), but those kinks should be worked out by now because it's been in major markets for over 2 years now. you will love it when you get it....it rocks...and its very affordable.

First, I'm in Maumelle, AR, not Parlier, CA like it says under my name above for some reason, lol. Anyways, we have had U-Verse now for almost 2 weeks. It's great! We had some "kinks" the first 3 days after installation and it took 3 different techs to finally figure out the issue. We are hooked up with a 4 receiver system and for some reason we would get pixels on our tv screens if more than 2 or 3 tv's were turned at the same time, which ATT said shouldn't happen. After the first 2 techs didn't manage to fix it, ATT sent out a higher level "tier" tech from St. Louis and he figured out the problem immediately. He said that some of the connections had been piggy-backed, causing some data loss. It's worked perfectly ever since. I was very impressed and pleased with the immediate attention our problem was given.

I too live in Maumelle (Rolling Oaks), but was told my house is not on the fiber optic network, eventhough several houses on my street have the UVerse service. I've called but my "file is still open" and unitl it is closed they can't tell me anything. I really want the services, it looks amazing.

HAD to post again to this thread. The AT&T U-Verse is still great! They just added complete DVR service so that the DVR service that's provided at no extra cost can be utilized from any receiver in the house. I also wanted to add that AT&T sent me a $100 check as promised and we received this within a month after having U-Verse installed. On top of this, we received an UNEXPECTED $100 prepaid VISA giftcard that had a letter from AT&T simply stating that it was a gift of gratitude for our business. How often does THAT happen?? LOL
